Re: The Random Topic
What is this I hear about a WG relaunch?!
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Re: The Random Topic
Hi guys!
Cheers for the welcome, I'll try to get my visits back up to par!
As to the Online dating topic I completely missed :
I tried it for a while, had some hits and misses.
First of all: a profile speaks chapters on a person (dunno if that saying is used in English but it sounds good to me!) .
If you're reading up on an interesting woman make sure it's someone that uses full phrases, spells correctly and doesn't come across as a ten year old with dyslexia.
If she put some effort into her presentation (I.e. say more than two words, do that intelligently and coherently) she's more likely to be a serious date.
My personal experience with online dating are as I said mixed, I only did two dates, the first was a complete miss. She wasn't who whe portrayed herself to be online and I quickly wrapped it up and went to spend some quality time with mates instead.
The second one was far better, we hit it off instantly and were both surprised the person they met matched so closely with the one they read about on the internet.
It didn't end up being a long term but we did have a fun time together.
So it's all up to you man, I don't have any qualms with online dating, some people will still find it sketchy or sad but fuck them, right ?

Re: The Random Topic
Out of 28 New Years this one was by far the most fucked up, both in a good and bad way. When I have more energy I will go into detail, but man insanity.
On a positive note the women down here cannot keep their hands off of me. It must be the exotic viking look I bring from the northland into south Florida. I've had more success in the Miami metropolitan areain the last five days then I have in months back home. It's all been with hispanic/cuban women and that's alright with me. These girls know how to have fun and are not nearly as self centered as the girls back home.
Happy New Year.

Save your pumpkin seeds. Clean them. Bake them...Eat them. Tastes like popcorn, but a million times healthier.

'Healthy' has never been a phrase that comes to mind when in the presence of popcorn.
More like, 'by the handful'.

I went to Wallmart for the first time in my life, I actually looked at the popcorn and everything was butter flavoured, or extra butter flavoured... You guys sure like your butter.

Wondering about excitement and it's relationship with cannabis. Whether it adds or subtracts.
...too high to make it to the so high thread.
*edit* also, only butter popcorn would get annoying. I'd miss salted. I tried Christmas... Yes, novelty flavoured popcorn, Christmas flavour. They were not nice. Not at all.

Re: The Random Topic
I always prefer my popcorn to be buttered/sweetened rather than the salty kind, it just doesn't speak to me.
Last days of freedom, new job on Monday so I'll have to really hit the ground running.
Other than that things with the girlfriend are going awesome between us, she's busy with work and I will be too soon but we're making it run smoothly so no foreseeable problems there.
Also thinking about growing a plant myself next season, just start out with one to get the hang of it and then move onto bigger things.

Re: The Random Topic
Glad to hear your new romance is flowing smoothly and joyfully, Nick. Long may it continue!...You find me waiting to attend my Lady's joint (belated) birthday celebration at a cool 'hipster' bar in a renovated warehouse in Brunswick. I may well be the only chap there, amongst 15-20 females. Could be fun, or awful, surely one of the two...Everyone is late through worrying about what to wear. I am slightly aggrieved at my only loosely acceptable in a public place t shirt succumbing to blue dye from a bad wash yesterday, meaning I must don shirt. And trousers....part of me would rather be staying here with Oscar, to drink and write all afternoon in the sun, in the garden. Maybe it will end up that way eh!!!

For the love of all that is holy, sane, humane, and just do not buy from Walmart. It is a capitalist catastrophe turned socialist pig.sugarstalker wrote:I went to Wallmart for the first time in my life, I actually looked at the popcorn and everything was butter flavoured, or extra butter flavoured... Re: The Random Topic
Drunk in the garden, yet again, with a beautiful pizza cooking in the oven...mozzarella, tomato paste, onion, garlic, chicken, pepper, lots of chili and mushroom, on freshly baked base.
I felt great today, after submitting my Open Uni assignment 8 hours late, then submitting an application for a job I would enjoy greatly, though is only part time. The thing there is...with my boss away for the next 3 weeks, I actually enjoyed my day in the council workplace and I got more done than I normally would. Just goes to show, that there is certainly something to be said for happiness in your job...which reminds me of a discussion I had with this pufftoad boss a while ago, in which I broached the topic of employee happiness. He looked me in the eye, and told me he had no interest in whether the people he managed were happy or not, there are not statistics to suggest any link between happy employees and productivity. Well, fuck you, pufftoad...You may not be truly an evil soul, but you have repeatedly treated me like a cunt. Which would be fine and dandy if not tolerable were I lacking effort and productivity, but this is not, and has never been the case, he simply does not like my tendency to speak my mind, work damn hard and glare daggers at him when he presents a 'joke' to the 'team'.
The major problem I have with my current role is not the progressive leaning towards administration. I am more then smart enough to deal with that. It is the way I am treated which irks me, which makes me want to boil management ukranian style....

Re: The Random Topic
It has arrived. Slowly but surely through the day the temperature rose and rose and rose...reached around 42-44C and has since lingered. Not likely to drop below 40C until 9pm, and then it will only sink to the mid 30s....back up again to 42 for tomorrow. Everything is hot, the ground, the walls, the taps, the cups, the chairs, the bed, the bricks...even the silver cutlery which has been hidden in the drawer all day. Nowhere and nothing can hide, other than those fortunate to have air conditioning. We have but the one portable air con system, which is fighting hard and loud against the onslaught. With no need to wear any clothes its the perfect time for delicious lust, but this heat preclude such a glorious thing, for skin on skin, skin on anything but cold water, is tiring and uncomfortable.
I probably shouldnt be drinking vodka, but what else can I do??? At least the alcohol may help me sleep an hour or three during the darkness.
Horrid. Truly fucking horrid.
