Cheers for the in depth advice, Ryan...The pots are...as you can see elsewhere...pretty small and things are moving ahead as expected. Will 40-60W CFLs be worth using at all???

This just occurred to me... Are we talking about the actual wattage or the 'equivalent-to' wattage, which they compare with incandescent?

Not sure if you received the pm, mate...but I went ahead and grabbed a 65w cfl.

And so, the plants were taken by a friend...and he has since placed them outside, to bear the brunt of the fierce and changeable melbourne weather. Will they survive outside??? Summer is upon us, and his stance is that 'they be cool...just let them be...'. Are my former little ones destined to die on the vine???
