Charitable Events

So in a week's time tomorrow, the plan is that I'll be dropping 30 metres out of a crane and somehow be caught just before i hit the ground by a giant fan of some sorts.

Was just wonderin if anybody else has done something in the same lines or something completely different, or even have any aspirations of completing something? I for one would love some day to have the commitment to train for the marathon, but I'll give it a few years yet.

Heights appeal to me far less than moving across, or just above land at manic speeds...Adrenalin sports or simply activities which make you feel immensely alive for every milisecond of the experience are plentiful these days. Riding a in a motogp race would do it for me. Perhaps flying a stealth fighter or apache gunship, but no chance of jumping into something like that as you can with many other things like base jumping...bungee...absailing...basics are much easier to grasp.

I've never done anything completely geared towards charity as an event other than the school fetes and other similar functions during my school days. Just chuck the WWF a handful of gold nuggets monthly for the last four or five years, mainly geared towards helping bears.

There shall be a designated photo lady so I'll try and provide some visuals. The fan's quite intriguing me as well... Just doesn't sound the safest.

Simply being a passenger in a stealth fighter would be more than thrilling. Last year was my first time on a plane and i was like a little child at take off. Every other second i was tapping the person beside me to make them look out of the window at yet another cloud or far away building or something.

Well, I've done plenty of community service in my day which is a form of charity right.....

I've been bungee jumping once and it was a thrill, but honestly I've done way more life threatening and idiotic things when I was a teenager. We used to ride on the roof of each others car down the highway, or tiptoe out over the ledge of a dam where if we would have fallen it would have meant instant death. These are just a couple of pointless risk taking behaviors I used to be involved in. Getting older, hopefully wiser!
