He is inspiring me...and as I not just hear, but feel the gorgeous collision of words and beats, to start developing my first novel. It needs to be world class wordsmithery, of course, but as for the format, i've been constantly pulled towards, by a lunatic inertia, to a passage in Naked Lunch..my hybrid will be to hit the reader full on with a maelstrom of reality's savagery, mainly words, interspersed with points in the nowhere near a straight narrative, where the reader must listen t a tune, take in the feeling it gives them, which adds to the pages...that's my plan.
