Re: The Random Topic
My lady went there with her girlfriends a year or so back and had no trouble...same can be said of another lady from work who was there for a month or so in recent times. She described it as the first country she knew soon after arriving that she would always love to visit again. Plenty worse places around, and plenty nowhere near as fun.cutthecashflow wrote:I would love to travel Mexico for a year if it werent so violent.

You could say the same about tsunamis, ryan??? Its a crueler, darker, more cynical position to assume, but equally possible...

I guess if you consider tsunamis and earthquakes and stuff to be natures way of correcting mistakes, us being that mistake.. Maybe it's more like when your pet is sleeping in your lap but you have to move because you're starting to cramp up or have to do something. the mistake being your position, and your poor pet the unfortunate collateral damage?

I guess I meant more like "natures way of fixing us" ... having obviously fucked something up in the process... like its laying out a path back to the way shit should be.... cause life as it is now is kinda fubar... but psychedelics seem to bring people back to some place of sanity... to the way shit ought to be.
Also, I was pretty
as I am now...

I like that line, ryan....and the imagery which is inspired by it, appearing somewhere behind my forehead, viewed by the same eye which sees so much more than the two placed either side of my snout.Weedguru_RyaNayR wrote:i guess you could... but that's more akin to bashing your computer to fix it.

Do you know where she went? Im thinking of going to tijuana here this summer to party and have sex with women at the clubs. You see prostitution is legal in tijuana and it is regulated with girls and guys needing to be tested before the dirty gets done. You can actually ask to see the inspection card. Now before any of uou jump on me...... I am a good looking guy and I dont have trouble finding girls here, but finding girls here always entails an emotional attachment and when I sleep with a woman here and never call her again I feel bad. In tijuana I will be able to have my emotionless animal sex in an environment that is safe and regulated. Does this make me a bad person? Quite frankly I dont give a shit. They provide a service for a fee and I have no problem with it. That being said, I would still love to travel mexico for the sights and cultural experince. Just a little worried about being gringo in this land.weedguru_animal wrote:My lady went there with her girlfriends a year or so back and had no trouble...same can be said of another lady from work who was there for a month or so in recent times. What's up guys ?
Nothing much happened in recent times, got my fixed contract so I now have a steady job, yay!
Been seeing a girl over the past weeks, not quite sure where it'll lead or if it'll last but it's fun as it is so I'll just go with the flow (hah.).

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Re: The Random Topic
I have to say I am a bit surprised by the general quality of employees in certain shops. What criteria are people being hired at? is it just face value? they can't beg getting much training in the art of sales, and sometimes I wonder what they're doing working in that line of merchandise.
Having been in need of some outerwear for some time I decided to have a look at one of the clothing shops at the local.. mall I guess would be the appropriate translation, when I found a jacket that I liked. Much to my dismay they did not have the size I was looking for, but luckily the saleswoman, who had been busy talking to, based on the conversation I picked up, sounded like an acquaintance, stepped in and asked me if I needed any help. (if you know anything about sales, you might be aware that that is not the question you should be asking) Yes, I said, as I was indeed in need of assistance, and told her about my plight. She proceeded to look through the jackets on the rack and came to the same conclusion that I did (no big surprise). We were then locked in silence, me waiting, and her in a state that might be considered thinking. After some time she asked me if I wanted her to go look in the back if they had any jackets in my size there.
I can not for the life of me figure out what went through her mind. Did she think that since they didn't have it on the rack that my interest in purchasing the jacket I had expressly told her I wanted, or maybe , and more likely, she's an idiot who has never actually managed to grasp one of the tenets of sales, to actually show some interest in helping your customer... It annoys me, because I know I would probably never get employment at such a place. They seem to be almost exclusively filled with teenaged girls who are more interested in talking to their friends, rather than actually performing their duty as a sales clerk.
Feeling rather annoyed at the incompetence of this person I decided to go into a bookstore to inquire about Candide, a book Animal wrote about, which sounded interesting. I do not care for wasting time trying to find something in stores, especially if I do not know if they have it at all, so I asked one of the clerks if she could help me. She promptly opened up the inventory-listing on her computer and asked me which book or what author, so I said it was a book by Voltaire, and this woman, who works in a bookstore, did not know how to spell Voltaire. I was baffled. I know Voltaire is not an author of extremely broad appeal, nor has he been on Oprah's book club thing, as far as I know, but Voltaire was a renowned philosopher and writer. I lost my train of thought but by the gods, should you not know something like that when you work in a bookstore?
This post has become something akin to Ayn Rand's works. A lot of words, but nothing has actually been said, but I took my time to type all this, and I don't feel like not posting it now.

Watched a documentary on Rand before, loved her. The idea of self interest is something i'm quite fond of. As for the modern sales assistant, (speaking as someone who's current part time title is just that) I can not agree with you more of how useless they are. The only time I've ever gotten decent help from a store like that is from a department manager. They seem to be the only people who are clued in.
As for what they are doing in the role, I've gathered that people are simply hired on 'social skills' basis, which is ridiculous, because they turn out to be, as you have pointed out, simply only interested in talking with other members of staff. There's a particular example of just that very person who comes to mind just as i write this, and god only knows how much i'd like to snap their phone out of their hands and jump up and down on it until it was smashed into a million pieces.
Now don't get me wrong, i'm not anti-social (well, maybe just a little), but when it comes down to it, a jobs a job, and there just appears to be far too much 'social loafers' floating around for my liking.
Anyways, congrats on the steady job, i hope it goes well for ya.

Made some hash coffee the other day and made it way to potent. I felt paralyzed for like 18 hours. I bet this would be a nice way to get stoned, I just need to figure a way to scale it correctly.
