Ha that's exactly how I felt when I started, and I only did after hearing that "Year Zero" by Nine Inch Nails was made on a laptop. A couple days of researching and a few downloads later and *bam*... got myself a hobby that's going to stick... and could very well turn out to be a career.

Sup butter !

Nice work Pkuppo, you clearly have way more theoretical knowledge on music than I will ever have :D

Still messing around in Ableton, I'm slowly getting better at creating sounds but composing is still beyond me :p

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Hey Buttermilk. And thanks, Nick. I'm not usually big on chill dubstep but I liked a couple of those tracks. Hexagon is pretty sweet. Hybrid and Deep Space were also nice. Your tunes would be hot shit on this local radio show here in Minneapolis. It's called "strictly butter". Plays saturday nights at 11 for 2 hrs. chill electronic jams. Good for driving... I'd like to incorporate your stuff into my metal. Korn/Skrillex style... Only better... If you don't mind, I might try to imitate your songs and add guitar and stuff at some point.

As long as you clearly mention me as a source for inspiration in there I'm down with it !

Do you use dropbox yet ?

Send me a PM with some date so we can link up and get this Cashcow going!

Great news !

I landed the job, I'm signing next Tuesday.

It'll be a role as Business Consultant basically adding Sales to what i was doing as a Recruiter which means a shitload of extra work but also a lot of ownership.

The company I'll be working for has made a very good name for itself over the years so it's definitely a venture worth undertaking, and it makes going to NY even better knowing I'll be making money when I get back.

Cool dude! Hope you thrive (and are happy) with your new gig. -No I'm not on dropbox yet but I'll look into it. Cuz we could be like....the next big thing... As soon as I figure something out I'll post it to get your approval to roll it out to the public... And believe me Stabbs, there will be enough epic mountain-woman screaming to go around as soon as I get srius and get equipment to record vocals.

I urge you all to stare directly into the sun in the up and coming next few days, specifically the 5/6th of June. Yea you'll run the risk of burning your retinas out and destroying your vision, but you'll also see the transit of Venus which wont happen for another 105 years! If in doubt, always wear your safety goggles...

I may have mentioned this before, but it seems our growing section has become completely autonomous, with bots coming in to ask the questions and then being answered by other bots. It's beautiful.
I personally recommend checking oneself for OCD at least once every 5 minutes.
