Sounds like you got aphids, too.
It's a shame she was so late into flowering. I'd have done the same thing just to avoid smoking bugs.

so i chopped it down last night upon discovering two rather large bright green caterpillars working there way along the branches...
that plus the bugs and mites meant it was time to get...
i harvested as much as a i could, and then threw the rest out...
