ph woes

strange readings tonight:
i always check the ph before watering, and then every few days, i check the ph coming out. tonight the ph was 5.8 going in but 1.2 going out!!! i went back and forth, checking it over and over again, plus the ph pen had just been recalibrated today. i also checked the ppms going in (980) and (700) coming out. i am in week 7 and just added shooting powder to the nutrients.
any advice?

I think I answered this in May, but in case anyone has the same problem or justbloom hasn't figured it out (top thread anyway), this just sounds like it needs a flush.
