Got it in the mail today, I payed 40 euros for it. It's awesome :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

So after watching a bunch of videos on this game (I would have been reading a bunch of reviews, but IGN and the like have delayed reviews for overhyped games to find ways to justify the overrated grade they will undoubtedly give it) I feel that this game is just a graphically updated version of the old one, which is gay because the first one is overrated as well.

Starcraft 1 was the best rts of all time, shit man even after 12 years it is still thé most competitive online rts to date.

Starcraft II took everything from the original, extremely balanced gameplay, smooth gameplay, very good storytelling for the singleplayer campagin and took it to a new level, graphically it looks better but they didn't waste too much time putting together a hyper realistic engine. The Starcraft lore continues and is more exciting than ever, the CGI cutscenes are marvels of beauty and I can't wait to find out where the story goes next.

It's your personal opinion of course, but I doubt I'll ever listen to you for advice about games :')

Any person that dares call Starcraft an overrated game was either so bad at it they got mad and never touched it again, or were never meant to play real time strategy games in the first place.

have to agree, the first one was amazing... especially for its time. People still play it hardcore and it came out in what... 1998?

Translation: Starcraft 2 is mostly a graphically updated version of the original.

Koreans still play pac man competitively dude, there is still a viable starcraft 1 community, shit when starcraft II was announced I reinstalled sc 1 out of nostalgia and was surprised to find the servers still full and operational.

As I said : your personal opinion, but if you're not into RTS games then maybe you shouldn't be discussing one in the first place. :)

And don't give me the rolleyes, Starcraft is and will always be one of the greatest RTS games ever, that's general knowledge.

There's still a lot of old videro game comunities left intact. Hell, my brother had no problems finding a bunch of servers for not only Quake, but a bunch of Quake mods.

My roll eyes was directed at the fact that you assume I am RTS naive. Which is funny, because I used to be a beta tester for a bunch of RTS modding studios whose modders have went on to develop mainstream games.

Starcraft was a great game, but saying that it's NOT overrated only shows that you are a hypocrite.

No he's very much entitled to his opinion, and I probably don't like games he likes.

But to say only koreans still play scI is exaggerated :p

To assume that it is still played "hardcore" and competitively today in any other place but South Korea is absurd.
