I wouldn't chance it. Sounds like you already knows he's going to leave you hanging. The fact that he has an outstanding warrant makes him that much more likely to disappear.

The problem is that he has literally NO other place to go. His only family is his dad who is permanently moving to Costa Rica next week and htey don't even talk. So its here or on the street... He wants things to work out, but i dunno I can't just throw one of my good friends onto the street.

You're feeling how i would feel in this situation.

I'd just let him live with you, but tell him if he wants a place to stay, he needs to sell all the shit he doesn't need to keep up with half of the rent.

Untill a person is financially secure, the only things they truly need is shelter, clothing, food and water. Everything else is just gravy.
