Who knows who done it, who has the control?
The flag flies half mast on its blood stained pole.

I wish i knew the answers why both sides still fight,
Too complicated for us to understand, yet one of them has to be right.

Why do people think they know the answer, the truth behind it all
Standing there protesting about something they can’t comprehend, how can they have the gall.

Look at you with your banners and posters and your faux leather shoes
Go home, put the kettle on, read the Independent and watch the fucking news!

Plastic protestors with too much time on their hands.
Tell them what you are thinking, “Go back to the sands”.

If you care so much, why don’t you go there and rub shoulders with the people.
Climb up every mosque, every synagogue and every church steeple.

Then look down on the rubble and tell them not to worry.
“Help is on its way I will tell them to hurry!”

“But who is them” they say, behind bloodied and confused faces.
You look down at the map and point out several faraway places.

For you don’t know who’s helping who and which side they will choose.
Maybe it will be the Arabs, the Israelis, the Muslims or maybe the Jews

I suppose what else can you do? At least you show passion for a cause
Someone has to tell our society about the atrocities of wars.

Yet, think about what you are saying and make sure you are certain of your view
Because remember what you are hearing, may not necessarily be true.
