Has anyone ever tried this stuff? I heard that its crap, but does it actually do anything? I want first hand answers, and from good sources, not some 12 year old pikey who has never smoked proper skunk.

No way man, it's top shit. It's a REAL pain in the arse to take, smoking it doesn't really do anything, you have to keep a big ball of it under your tongue for 30mins plus (it tastes absolutely fowl) and some people find it can take them like five, six goes or something to get lit (took me three goes IIRC) but it's mad stuff! You can go anything from feeling stoned (in a strange way) closing ur eyes and seeing cool colours etc. (in a similar way to when your totally gone on some green) and a full on out of body job.
Last time I did it I saw all this green goo stuff floating about (very much like that crap Robin Williams film flubber?) and I don't remember much else.
All that stuff about having a mate over as a watcher is a good idea tho because there is NOTHING on earth like this drug. Lot of people just pass it off as a crap alternative to acid or weed but it really isn't much like either. When you do acid you see stuff that isn't there but it's generally in context with where you are, but salvia really takes you to other worlds. Mate of mine was gently (have to be careful talking to ppl tripping cuz it's easy to get paranoid etc.) asking me what was going on when I was on a trip once and writing it down (really hard to remember any of it). Thought I was flying over the sea with this beautiful sunset ahead of me, going thro loads of colours (gold, purple etc.). He wrote loads of stuff down (lasts about an hour) and when I read back thro it, it helped bring back memories of it. Fantastic stuff and doesn't make you sick, come down etc. like acid and mushies can.

Oh and if your gonna do it, be careful with your dosing!!! You don't know how your gonna react to it and just cuz it doesn't work properly first few times, it doesn't mean you should up the dose loads, you really won't have any idea what is going on if you totally trip cuz you will completely believe your in another place. But it really is an amazing exploration of your mind.
Have a look, most places that sell it have guides on how to take it and a scale of it's effects. But take the warnings seriously, if you take too much you could end up in real trouble (it most likely won't do you any harm at all but obviously believing your talking to Jim Morrison in the desert when in actual fact you have just fallen through a plate glass window could do you some damage

well today i got my first ever batch of salvia. i got 6x extract and up to now, i cant really say its done much for me. ive smoked around 1/3 of the gram i was supplied with and i was surprised after hearing so many good things about it. i'm gonna go have another go in a little bit so i'll let y'all know when i'm able.

oh and st8ick, i saw ur last post. i'm not an expert but i will try to clear things up for you a little. salvia div.... is a member of the sage family which is grown in a part of mexico that i find hard to spell. its legal in a lot of countries but not all. the meaning of the name is something like 'divine sage'. hope that helps. to be honest, thats about all i know. wish i could help more but unfortunately, i can not.

I saw this programe. SOmething like 100 hundred things to do before your 40 and smoking this stuff was on. the presenter tried some and said he saw a horse and had to be taken backstage. but ive herd its actually shit.

I havn't done it personally... but my bf smoked it through a grandad pipe wit a gauze in... n just lay there.... he looked quite chilled...(ur not supposed to be disturbed...and ur supposed to hav a sitter with u..).. but he started twitching... so i got scared, and woke him up

Well for one thing your not meant to smoke it to trip and did you actually read any of the stuff? You can't just smoke it a couple of times and say it's shit, it can take quite a few times to get lit. It worked for me.

But yeah, it is a lot of effort.

anex i tired it on three different occasions. each time i used more than the previous time. it wasnt no cheap leaves or anything. the 6x extract. my opinion of salvia is that its over rated and over priced. id rather drink 10 pints of stella.

It can take LOADS of goes to get it to work, some people need to do it about 10 times or something silly. Also you said you smoked it, well that doesn't work for a start.
If your patient enough to keep at it (I know it's a pain in the arse) you will be rewarded
