Lost ubuntu operating system...

Before i instaled another windows xp package on the main partition, I used to have a screen upon powering up the laptop, which letme choose between xp and ubuntu (which is on another partition). Now, I have no choice. Just straight through to XP or nothing...Any ideas?

The Grub loader is installed on the boot sector of the hard drive, and when XP is installs, its writes over the GRUB. SO...I can still access my ubuntu, through using a ubuntu live cd. And it is possible to reinstall the GRUB...just mildly complicated. But very possible.
