Ohio man chills out in extreme igloo

Unemployed Ohio man chills out in extreme igloo
By Associated Press
Monday, February 15, 2010 -

AQUILLA, Ohio — It’s quite the man cave.

Jimmy Grey says he’s been out of work for almost a year and needed a project to stay busy. So with the heavy snowfall this winter, the 25-year-old laborer got to work on an extreme igloo in his family’s yard in Aquilla, about 30 miles east of Cleveland.

His four-room creation has 6-foot ceilings and an entertainment room. He powers the TV with an extension cord plugged into an outlet in the garage. He also ran wires for cable television with surround-sound stereo.

Grey says candles help add ambiance for nighttime get-togethers with friends, and the freezing temperatures mean that the beer never goes warm.

Man if I had enough snow I'd build myself one of these!!

crazy man, and I don't think it'll be very comfortable in there you know with the freezing temperatures and such :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

surprisingly once you get inside an igloo, it starts to feel warmer in there. I guess it might be because of the humidity building up, but I actually made an igloo after our 2 ft. snowfall a few weeks ago

Snow acts as isolation. My dad used to shovel snow around the foundation of the house in winter to help insulate
