Has anybody else seen this movie? I had high expectations from beaming reviews but in the end I thought it was pretty crappy.

It's just a film about really bad post apocalyptic parenting, following the story of the worse decision maker ever trying to look after his presumable mentally challenged son. Wasn't cool like at all, I hated it, but what did you guys think?

I havnt seen the movie, but I have tried to read the novel.

I hope I made myself clear their lol. I tried twice and couldnt get through it. The author doesnt use a single quotation mark ( " ) when the characters speak, and the dialogue (at least in the first chapter or two) was so childish diminutive that I couldnt force myself to continue on.

However I believe I might be one of the few who did not enjoy the novel, as another forum I visit, Ive made a post similar to this and got flamed for it. So dont let my review of the novel deter you from picking it up and giving it a try, I was obviously one of the very few people who didnt enjoy it...

But I am sad to hear that the movie is nothing to look forward to either. I love post apocolyptic themes which is why I tried reading the novel.

I think that's why I disliked it so much, because I'm normally suck a big fan of apocalyptic themes and it really didn't focus on that at all.

Plus I know this might sound like I'm some form of TV gorking, uncultured fat guy but I don't read... Well, not books anyway.

Hahaha dont worry, its hard to get into reading novels for fun.

The only reason I got into reading was because I found one really good book. I found a few more by that author and it was just a snowball effect.

But yes, Ive been told the movie/novel focus' more on the relationship between the father and son. Having not seen the movie nor read the book, I cant say that for a fact, but if thats the case, doesnt sound like my type of movie

Everyone has their preference. I actually have a book of his on my list that I plan on reading called "The Stand" or something like that. Have you come across this one yet ? Any good ? Please no spoilers lol

i havent had a chance to read it but ive also been meaning to lol. theres a movie made for it but it sucks lol.
