Safe to use?

I can take a picture of it and post it if needed. Basically it's for pipes in plumbing and I was gonna use it as a bowl for a bong, but when I opened the package, it had the whole "Warning: This contains a chemical known to the state of California..." blah blah blah shit, basically meaning it contains lead. It's gold all over so I assume it's lined with some kind of paint or some such shit, and that the lead is really just within the metal, but I still question if it's a good idea to use. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't but if you were going to first I'd hold a lighter up to it, if it smokes then don't use it

Alright well I returned what I had and got something that actually is a lot nicer for what I need it for. This time it's Brass which is just copper and nickel, no warning of lead, and the employee at Home Depot said it has 0 lead, and it came with no warning paper. I can post pics if need be. Would this be okay?

Brass is fine. It's actually used for a lot of metal pipes

yeah, I have a brass nut and bolt I use for home made steam rollers.

Brass is fine but copper releases toxic fumes when heated.

^ i wish i had that tid bit of information before i mad my 2 foot long pipe out of copper. that thing hit so fucking hard it thought there was something wrong...
