1) the person who said "ya, preps suck" --- thats one of the most retarded sentences ive heard. ill say one thing: if ignorance is bliss, you must be very happy.
2) since when have you seen a stoner 'kick someones ass'? what's with the violence? chill.
3) im curious where the author lives -- there's a band around here with a song with identical lyrics to a part of this song. i suspect this crappy poem may not even be original work.

sorry... but if you knew the preppy people i did u would say preps suck too... two of them are nice. and out of the like 50 probably more of them. thats pretty bad. none of them (sept those two girls) are nice to me or any of my friends so i really hate them all..

did it cross your mind that the problem may not be in the numbers of "preppy people" you know, but in the way you define an abstract group of people as 'preps'? certainly many people are dumbasses and asshole in their own accord, but that's not the way to go about labelling them. and i go to a private school so chances are im in an environment similar to yours.

im somewhat confused... well yes i know it stupid to label people... they have labeled me time and time again so i dont care and i dont know what else to call them... the big group of mean people... i guess that too would be labeling them but with out a "label" what am i supposed to do... say 50+ peoples names when ever i refer to them? (im not trying to be rude... but honestly how else can i refer to them)

No matter what personallity you have you can most always be put into some kind of group. I think it was Mark Twain that said there are no origional ideas anymore. The same goes with people in my opinion. You would have to be insanely abstract to be slightly origional then you could just be put into the group of insane people. If your depressed and wear black, people call you a goth. If you dress nice and only care about having a nice car and nice clothes and being popular, people call you a prep. If you smoke weed, people call you a stoner. If you skateboard, they call you a skater. There are about a million other groups and it doesn't matter if you consider yourself to be in one, as long as others consider you to be. Most people try to be unique but when everyone tries to be unique it's very hard for just one person to be. There are 6 billion people on Earth and with most of them being 'unique' that means there has to be about 4 billion different life ideals. I say just screw everyone else and don't try to be unique or the same. Just be yourself. By saying that, however, I just placed myself in the anti-social group.

yeah, and smoking weed doesnt define you... i smoke weed, play hockey... am i to be called a 'jock' and 'stoner' at the same time? i can only be fully descibed as a person by the term 'luke'.

The truth is we will all be catagorized all our lives by eachother. the truth is that everyone is unique already and it's totally up to each indevidual person to find out who exactly it is that they are. In essence, the truth is that it makes no difference how others may label, veiw, or catagorize a person-it has no meaning unless that person themself belives it. who you are cannot be determined by veiwing thru the eyes of another. remember, it only matters if you belive it's true.

ppl feel the need to catagorize the ppl around them because it's the only way they kno to automatically familurize themselfs to a compplete stranger. This is a large comfort to someone if they can feel like thay already kno that stranger and kno what they're all about. Wen someone puts someone else in a category, they are saying something more about themselfs than that other person. Think about it.

also, some ppl catagorize THEMSELFS for very much the same reason. They need to familurize themselfs with something, a personality they already kno because it's been presented to them before...it's part of the process of "finding yourself" wen ur a kid...hence why teenagers are said to go through "phases". Get it? I get it.

btw, i'm kindof a hypocrit(sp?) cuz i do the very same process wen i meet new ppl at times. Find it helps me kno how to act around them untill i get to know them better...but this is only sometimes....i can more and more go into a situation being just *me*, cuz i kno who that is now. And that way I can let them be just *them*. if u understand it, it's always something to work on:P.

btw, do u all understand most of what i'm saing??
