I'm deaf....

So I have been partially deaf in my right ear for about two or three years. It happened when I got an ear infection and never got it all back. Now tonight my ear started hurting, now it doesn't hurt but it just doesn't work anymore! There is a bunch of pressure and ringing but no sound. I can't hear a damn thing out of my right ear. My left ear is okay though. So I have a big car meet thing this weekend and that's all weekend. Then I'll come back and see a doctor. Hopefully it comes back, I don't want to be partially deaf my entire life, even though I know some sign language, LOL. I'll never need it. I just want to hear!

That sucks. I heard jamming a knife into your ear helps clean out all the stuff blocking your eardrums...or wait maybe that was something else. lol jk
im deaf completely in my left ear. its not that bad.

it's not wax, it's the fluid behind your ear drums building up. The same thing is happening with me on my left ear from an ear infection. When you go to the doctors, they'll either flush your ears or give you drops and antibiotics which don't do shit. I'm almost fully def in my left ear and it got swollen a few weeks ago. Just wait a few days and the infection will go down and you'll hear a little bit more. I can't stand how I can't use headphones or anything and it's been getting worse and worse but the doctors are dumb ass's (at least mine are) and they don't know shit to do. I hear annoying loud ringing every night and it's so loud sometimes that I can't even sleep.

I never knew that other people really had that with their ears too and that it wasn't common. I can't stand how dumb doctors can be sometimes though because they don't even really check out what's wrong and just take a wild guess.

Last time I had infections in BOTH ears. I know it's internal. Before the doctor just gave me anti-biotics which didn't do anything. I know my hearing should come back. I just know it will keep going on and off more than it does now...which sucks!

Do you randomly just go deaf every once in a while? I will just be talking to my friends and then it will happen and I'll be like "hey guys, speak up a bit...sorry" and they won't understand...

It's only my left ear that's bad, it's been almost fully def for a long ass time and it's been pretty constant on how much it's blocking my hearing. I've had random times that I couldn't hear at all from it and it's so annoying because the right side of my head seems so weird. My infection at first used to be in both my ears and I couldn't hear a single thing for 1 week. They flushed my ears and the right one got better but since then my left has never gotten better.

As long as I have my left ear I should be okay...

yea that's the same with me, at least my right ear I can hear fine...but the only thing is that when I adjust the volume on my headphones to my left side of my ear, the bass is really noticeable on the left and the sound is coming out more on the right and I've gotten a few ear infections from it.

just dont go sticking things in it. youve probarbly got an infection. sucks. i've had a few infections and my ears are pretty crap. that, and too manymetal concerts i think..

but seriously, maby your car show thingy will blow out somthin in your ear and let you hear again, it would just really suck if your ear started leaking in your awsome car

Here's what I have been rollin' in.

But anyways... I woke up this morning with no pain, but no hearing either. People would echo when they would face away from me and talk. It's weird. I sometimes can't place where people are in the house when they are talking like I did last week.
