Just because you live in their house doesnt mean you have to live their religion. If they argue about that, then they dont have any respect for you being your own person counteracting, why should you have any respect for them?

Dude matt, i got busted a while ago too and my 18 year old sister told on me!! she smokes weed and cigs and drinks and all, all i do is smoke weed.. The worst thing is my mom asked me if i smoked and i denied it obviously to get out of trouble but little did i know my sister had already ratted on me so i was just lieing to my mom right infront of her face and i didnt know it. got grounded for 2 weeks not bad!! but i cant see my best friend anymore which is horrible i would have rather been grouned for 3 months if i could see my bestfriend more but im sure shelll pushover eventually anyways goodluck to you with your situation..
that's was Exactly what happened to me when I got cough, except he was just a friend and I wanna stab his face a few times for stuff he's done to me. I was grounded for 2 weeks and restricted from hangin out with him, this isn't the first time me and him got cought with weed or just got in trouble for weed in general.
i've been working on my parents for a while now and this is what has happened:
i no longer speak to my dad, we live in the same house...but we don't talk to eachother...only when my mom makes him, and i give 1 word responses.
i give my mom 1 word responses also because neither of them deserve my respect...i won't go into it cause i don't care right now.
anyways i'm just gonna rough it out until i move out and then not talk to those assholes again.
CANT WAIT TO MOVE OUT
but hey...the good things is i have ALL my friends back, my old smoking buddies are friends with me and we toke occasionally...just much less than we used to...and my old friends just accept that i will occasionally get high or try something crazy lol

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.
Don't be mad at parents for that, the fact that you're in trouble means that they care about you and what happens to you. If they didn't punish you for anything, sure it may seem great to you, but you'll come to the realization that they really don't care about you. They're just looking out for their kid.
oh no, i don't get along with my dad for other reasons, not just the weed. He's irrational and doesn't listen and acts like an asshat so whatever lol.
I really try to be mature about this and I know ignoring them both 24/7 isn't "mature" but i feel best when i do ignore them and i feel at peace.
I dunno, we just never got along throughout my life and i don't see anything changing and i'm tired of being the one who always makes the effort to fix the relationship so i just quit.
