I can't sing?

The two biggest things for a singer, warm up and don't smoke cigs (pot's fine, It doesn't really mess up your vocal chords like cigs do). but like everyone said drink lots of water and the hot tea is good too.

I don't know about this, I mean logically its all true.
I can't sing in my college band at the moment cos my throats fucked so I quit smoking tobacco a week ago hoping it would help and my throat does feel better although i'm coughing to fuck.
Although....
Jeff Buckley was a normal cig smoker and his voice is incredible
