i can't! i get halfway through a line, and my voice totally breaks down and i start violently coughing. could it be i've been smoking too much. I've smoked about 200% more than i normally would have in the last few days.

If you smoke cigerattes it could be, but i doubt weed. It expands your tubes, so you shouldn't be coughing hard. You could have Asthma smoke some weeeed. That'll help if you haven't yet. If you do smoke some and you start coughing nad getting a whitie, stop you may have some kinda throat infection.

Drink hot water with honey and lemon in it...it will sooth your throat for singing <3 The smoke has irritated your throat I think, making it difficult to push the notes out.

me, i cant sing, unless i am drunk, when i am drunk, i can sing like an angel, or at least i think so, for some reason, my mates say i sing like usual (terrible) but i kno the truth... drink changes my vocal cords ahahahaha!

I can sing but I'm really shy about it...so when I get drunk and am avidely enthusiastic I sing all the time..but then I'm drunk so I sing badly.

Drink lots of warm water. Stay off the soft drinks, they're really bad for your throat. Try doing breathing excersizes, and try to cut down smoking ANYTHING if you're seriuos about being a pro vocalist.

funny you mention that, cus i did try that last weekend owned me bad too.

I can't say i really drink soft drinks, i mainly drink milk and water. i'm not serious about being a pro vocalist, i just enjoy busting out lyrics when i feel like it, and i enjoy the ability to do that, so i'm gonna completley quit smoking, and take a break from dope, to allow my throat to heal, and to lower my tolerance.
