Why I'm a happy girl today

As many of you know, I'm a total vegetarian, which means I don't eat meat, dairy or eggs. I wanted some "comfort food", so today I wasted some serious money on the best tasting, high quality vegan meats and cheeses. (I usually don't eat this type of stuff).
I'm about to feast on bbq field roast (think bbq meat strips, but not nasty) with, get this: non-dairy cheeze that actually tastes like cheese. It's a revolutionary product. Most "non-dairy" cheeses still contain casein, a milk protein, that helps them melt, so I don't eat them. The vegan cheeses that do not contain casein taste like wax, they're very barfy. But there is a new vegan cheese that melts just like real cheese, is fatty just like real cheese, and is deliciously indulgent, just like real cheese! BFD, you might say, but I used to be a cheesatarian, and I haven't eaten cheese for almost 2 years, so I'm in HEAVEN. Anyways, I'm stoked on my bbq meat strip cheese sandwiches!!!!

You really hate meat don't ya? Gosh, I'd never have the will power to eat that stuff.....I'm not for animal torture and stuff, but geez, I could never be a vegetarian either!!

mmmm...vegan/vegetarian 'meat'. i love boca burgers. and..chickenesque. and...those vegetarian hot dog and sausage things! mmmm...i think might just have to go get a boca burger. mmm....

I suppose some of it might be good....maybe i should try it sometime. Hot dogs might be a good start...Do they taste like really weird and different or is it kinda the same?

oh no. DON"T start with hotdogs. They taste like...hotdogs! They're gross! Start with anything that says "meat style" if your looking for imitation meat. Anything, that is, except the vegetarian "kidney loafs" and "sausages" don't see anywhere else, except the frozen food section of hardcore asian grocery stores in Chinatown. If you're feeling more adventurous, try "wheat meat", it's made out of seitan (basically isolated wheat protein), but some people think it tastes like bread.
The all time best though, is tofu, especially fried tofu. Tofu is a pressed soybean curd (no grosser than sour milk curdles!) that was invented in asia. Tofu is a culinary chameleon, it tastes like whatever it's cooked with, so they would cook it with meat, thereby using less meat, coz meat is expensive. I personally don't like my tofu cooked with meat! but I know many meat eaters who like tofu. When it's marinated correctly and deep fried, it's all crispy and textury on the outside (not unlike chicken skin *gag*!) and almost creamy on the inside. *drools*
Well there are a few things I am before a stoner, (like your a responsible truck driver!) a serious student and a vegetarian. I used to like meat, a lot! It really no longer holds any appeal for me, I've seen too much, you know?

Brands? Look in the "natural section of the grocery store. Morningstar Farms is probably good, it's not vegan though. My favorite is called Field Roast and Tofurkey but they are both produced in Seattle. Living in my neighborhood helps, I live downtown right between two universities and it's super veg friendly.

im also a vegeterian, but I do still eat dairy products, not plain milk, cause thats just nasty. but ice cream and cheese and stuff i eat

Oh God...i'm making nachos with my cheeze...it's so creamy and aromatic....and now i work in the place that sells the cheeze, so I'll get it all the time....it's so heavenly.

youre a cheese eater? so your not a level 16 super hero veagan? good for you. im going to be someday, when i start buying my own food cuz my parents don't really shop veagan for my sis, so they won't for me im sure. they think i smoke weed, but are totally clueless. if i ever do something i never used to do before, they get suspicious so a sudden veagan change would frig them up.

My girlfriend is a vegetarian, but she doesn't makes a problem about me eating meat, she even goes into the kebab house with me.

And I don't make fun of her for being a vegetarian, I respect her view, but I'm too much of a carnivore to give up my meaties.

Well guys, first off my bf is an omnivore and we get along great...I'm a vegan coz I'm a compassionate, loving person, so I'm sensitive to other's lifestyles and I'm all about mutual respect, so it's not something we ever fight about, except for the time he left a bloody styrofoam thing in the bottom of the fridge and the blood dripped all over my bread...that was sick.

But anyways, I now work at a gourmet vegan restaurant that's all about the duplication of traditional foods...we even have bbq "ribs" and philly "cheesesteak", spaghetti with "meatballs' and "chicken" salad....So I'm trying to eat this chicken salad and although it's good I'm having a hard time coz it tastes JUST LIKE CHICKEN to me....it will take awhile to get used to all of this "meat"...lol. I've got it so good.
