I have been reccomended The Roots by a few mates in the past but only recently have I actually given any of their stuff a listen. Distortian to Static is an instant classic to my ears and I would appreciate any Roots fans to offer me an outline of the group's best tracks...

there are so many more. Their better stuff, in my opinion, is from the 1990's, their earlier stuff.

From what I have heard, so far, of The Roots, I would be very happy to discover my mother was a fan. It would imply that contrary to my long held beliefs, She can in fact hear sound

I wasn't too keen on Pussy Galore.
Stay cool is wicked.
And as you suggested, Ziggy, Seed is a quality effort.
What They Do is a touch too mellow for my liking though the ryhmes are pleasant and well delivered.
The pace and tone of the lyrics on Adrenalin is more in line with my mind's internal rhythm.
In the Music is dark and sinister, hard hitting and viciously pounding in beat and verse. Easily the best Roots track I have heard so far. No need for searching high or low to fully appreciate the feel of this one. I love it.

Cheers a plenty for the tips, people. Appreciated. And as one good turn deserves another, I reccomend anyone with a fine appreciation of decent beats and intelligent lyrics to check out these tracks by my latest discovery, Hasan Salaam...(an artist attached to my King, MF Grimm's label, Day by Day Entertainment)

I'm going to see them in concert March 4th!! I love The Roots. Lupe Fiasco will be there too.

They came to toronto once but i was gone that weekend, wish i could have seen them. think their amazing. tell us how it is......if u can remember, mar 4 is a long ways away.
