no sound....?

for some reason the sound doesnt work on my computer, only when the sound is coming from the internet. i thought it was my browser, but the weird thing is if its say a video in windows media player on a page it plays fine and i can hear it, but if its anything else, youtube, google video, no sound at all. every other sound works on my computer too. any ideas? its really starting to get annoying

Try updating the drivers for your sound card. To do so...

Click

Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware tab>Device Manager then clcik Audio and other devices, select your card and update driver.

Hopefully thats the answer you need
