The closest you're going to get to PEI is Montreal...Everything from there on is just moving more towards the West.

According to mapquest, it's going to take you a good 12 hours to drive there

I typed in PE in State for starting place (you could add your town name)

And Montreal(city) QC (state) for end place and it will give you the driving directions....though a plane sounds mighty easier.
