Marajuana laws/ext in Japan
Well, to make a long story short I might be going there for a little while.
What is the entire culture of pot like there? Like, do as many people use it there like here? Are the laws tough on you if you're caught? ext ext.

omg. if i was going to japan i wouldnt be too worried about whether i can smoke weed there or not, id be more concerned with learning some japanese so i can talk to the girls. but thats me, i luv them asians. check my profile links if u do too
anyways to answer your question. in the short time i looked up the marijuana laws of japan, so far i can tell you it is illegal.
apparently few ppl were given the ability to cultivate it (which is a good idea since its so uberly useful) but for some reason that law was forgotten about and doesnt even apply to you so in short. no weed makes law abiding tourist in japan.
if you asking if they are strict about it or not. i would think so, have u ever known an asian who wasnt strict? if they beat their kids for better marks in school, they snatch your ballsack if they find weed on you.

theres a few sites you can look at and read more into. i only read the first few paragraphs and they all started the same basically
but anyways, have fun japan

I just got back from a 2 week vacation in Asakusa, Japan. I have a friend who's lived there for about 6 months and he said that nobody really smokes, it's all drinking. Also, the smoking laws are VERY strict and the punishment if you're caught is much more than it is in the states. Also, I have a japanese roommate and she pretty much said the same thing.
So basically, it's going to be really hard to find weed there and also, if you happen to get caught... well, lets just say it wouldn't be good.
really sucks

Hell yeah!
My neighbors were Japanese when I was a kid. What that woman would do with Top Ramen. They would add vegitables and all types of stuff and it was so good! I wish they didn't move back to Japan!

Hahaha.
I want to go to Japan. I would think it would be so trippy you wouldn't even need weed!
When I went to Europe I didn't smoke. Although if I had wandered into Amsterdam, that would be a 100% different story.

Don't bring weed...think about it...they have NO way of import of weed since they aren't close to the major weed-growing countries...smuggling would be hard as fuck because Japanese customs are STRICT as fuck...my friend's girlfriend's ex-boyfriend...(lol)...got caught with weed OFF the plane into Japan...he's doing a year there. Just deal with it. And don't try to buy there..imagine all the Japanese detectives trying to sell tourists weed just to get them...

By the way Murai, not to be a spelling nazi but I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what "ext" meant...
just for the record, the abbreviation is "etc", it stands for et cetera, which I think is latin for "and so on".
And I don't know alot about Japanese weed laws or culture but I've heard they have a pretty big thing going on with magic mushrooms over there.
