zippo's are usually just a bigger and not as controlled flame so your usually going to scorch the bowl if you dont know what your doing..

so save your zippo when you light up a cigar or smokes and use aa Bic for Bud they cost about a buck and they are the standard around here. Heck ived convinced alot of ppl that bic's are the only lighters to be used. This one girl i smoke with even went out and bought a bic just for our sessions. (story beind that)

Bic's makes you feel powerfull to, you roll the thumb wheel it sparks then woosh and your like and then he said there shall be Fire! Other lighters tend to feel weak, or inferior to bics. okay enough i sound like a bic salesman and a little crazy!

i had a zippo for awhile until i lost it, i loved the fact of having a zippo, put i didnt like the flame and the taste you get from it, but to each his own

i love zippos, they my faverote to toke with (no wait, matches are my fave to toke with... gives the smoke a good taste( but matches are annoying, so failin those, zippos prevail, i use a disposable if needed

its not too bad, just gotta kno how to use em... most people cant get a zippo to light a pipe, n put the top of the 'chimny' right over the bowl (those little holes are for escape of gas vapours n stuff) well, if u got those holes to close to the bowl, then of course ur gna pull em thru, u just gotta learn to anticipate the flame (lol - i kno its soundin a bit like bulshit now but bare with me) and keep the damn chimny away from the bowl, no gas is trapped in an orange flame (only blue flames and around it usualy) so as i sed, just gotta make sure the orange part of the flame the only thing near the bowl.... anyway, once again, like all of my relativly long posts, i have forgotten what i was originaly arguing for... so i will just drop it, take care all

As possible as it is to light a bowl or pipe with a zippo, i find a good old clipper easier,and cheaper. I do however, always use a zippo for cigs, and other things, and am a proud zippo owner.

i dont smoke cigs, or joints (most of the time), its all pipes, and i am also a proud zippo owner, so what else am i suppost to use em for? lol... gotta learn a good way to use em on pipes in my case, haha... but i do prefer matches yes, just remembered to get me a box, so now i tokin up with matches *class* lol

zippos dont ruin the flavor so long as the chimney aint no where near the bowl, alot of ppl hold the zippo way to close n get all the waste gas fumes from the chimney, but with enough practice ye get the knack of it, i mean i can use mine without any taste of gas fumes now
