A wee problem

As in small, not urine. i have a gig next week, which im playing guitar in, but i cut the end of my left index finger, and i cant hit the frets properly without it hurting like fuck. any advice would be appreciated.

maybe you can try to take a bunch of painkillers before you perform.

Edit: or you can just put a band aid on your finger for a week and don't touch it then let it heal.

that would be the hardcore rocker thing to do. maybe put one of those thumb things that u wear to prevent urself from being poked by pins when sewing...dunno what they're called, but try putting on of hose on the end of ur finger? see how that works.

Go to a drugstore, pick up one of those finger slings (i think theyre called that). They keep your finger straight, then a day before your gig take it out and practice.

i was really stoned, and trying to cut a really small block of resin with areally sharp knife

and the thimble thing actually worked. but i had to duct tape it to my hand.

Tony Iommi would know the answer. I was going to suggest a couple band-aids and some tape of some kind. Good ol' duct tape works everytime. It's amazing how well it works on some fabrics too! Try it if ya don't believe me.

nah ive had the same problem before. i just grit my teeth through it and played. at the end of the day it could be worse.
