Two Souls

Post by FIRE!!! »

Two souls, grasping for the light
Smoke it billows, grey and white
Well, who can help you now?

Too far gone to remember,
the burning flame, now dying embers
Well, who will save you now?

Stuck in a fleshy cage
Far too late to suffocate
Well, who can take you now?

Two souls, stuck on the wheel
Spinning on celestial reels
Well, who can help you now?

And the answer is: "Dunno, man."

Wicked awesome poem! It made my heart skip a beat or two...no wait, that's just the cholesterol.

Word, if I explained the meaning behind it, it probably would make alot more sense.

Sounds like something on the lines of LOVE.
“Cannibalism? Racism? Dude, that’s not for us ... those decisions are better left to the suits in Washington. We’re just here to eat some dude!”

See...this I like! It's short and kept my attention. It's ambiguous...provokes thought. I especially enjoy the repetition of the last line; it invokes a sense of rhythm. Keep writing.
