yo, i iz a hispanio, and we have hidden talent for this kinda shit. but damn. its takin me a while to perfect the ollie. im 19, and just started, its a shame because by the time i start to get really good, retiring the board will be in the not so distant future. but i still wanna do this. i just started yesterday actually
so far i can do like 3 inch ollies every other attempt. and can land them only in a stationary position about half the time

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore, trust the physician and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility

well I recently just stopped skating mainly just because I simply dont have the time, I skated for about 7 years. What i reccommend is practice ollieing onto the side curbs of streets into a axel stall, which really takes not skill at all but is a great way to get technique down. because it willlater help with rotations such pop-shovits or varial flipps but def start trying to jump small gaps maybe only 6 inches at first.

Back when I skated I practiced every day and it took me about 2 months to learn to ollie really good. After that everything else was easy to learn though..except grinding. Mainly because you have to learn the hard way (by messing up and falling on your ass) and those boardslides leave your nuts awful open.

I would always try to do them stationary. the trick is to try them moving. bigger chance you'll fall, bigger chance you will learn how to do it properly. sinse I learned all messed up whenever I ollie my board turns a bit and I never land strait :/
