hello, this is my first post. i really would like to become more involved here but a little hesitant. couldn't a cop or someone go to this forum and track the IP and arrest you? I may be a little paranoid but any replies are helpful.

I don't see how a cop could get your IP address unless they had administrator privileges...they would need someone on the inside. -shifty eyes-

Itd be pretty complicated if a pig decided to try and hunt one of us down to actually find us. Sure, they could trace our IP , but theyd have to find out where we live through our ISP, and for that to happen, theyd need a valid warrant... which you cant get by sayin "uhh, yyeah, so theres a bunch of riley kids on the net who do weed. i need a warrant so i can get their address from their ISP, and search their house."
plus, weed isnt gonna be the #1 priority for a cop to bust. Im sure theyd try to track down meth users and cokeheads and crack heads and heroin addicts before a bunch of people who smoke a pure plant :/
actually, to be honest, about 20 minutes ago a cop showed up at my door only to tell us that our garage door was open

Wouldn't a cop tryin to get information about other users for the purpose of bustin them be some sort of violation of privacy? Some forums have some kinda anti-cop disclaimer like that, especially ROM/Emulator forums (if you happen to know what those are).

That "agreement" that ROM sites have is bullshit, some crackpot story they invented to try and keep the feds off their back. Those websites offer illegal software and can be terminated by the proper authorities.

A site like this one, however, provides no more information about its posters than what they reveal. Besides, your local police probably aren't snooping around this website, that would just be too much of a coincidence.

Cops aren't gonna bust a bunch of stoners sitting around on their computer talking to each other, we're not doing any harm to society so really they're probably out doing the important shit, you know, arresting murderers and vandals and such. Potheads only become a concern when they're walking down the street or driving around, apparently. Or if they have ALOT of pot.

Yea, i mean, i'm just walking down the street, stoned, near the parc. and a cop says i don't have the 'civil right' to stand here, so i move 3 street further, i'm on a nowhere street, the same fuckin cop pops out, and say, You don't hae the civil right to walk there at this time.

I mean, this is retarded, we don't have the right to walk on street and just... enjoy walking with your joint like anybody would do, cause you smoked weed.
