If only that was the limit of their power. They can also have a program that searches all the contents of the nets for keywords. It will search through provate email and documents pretty much aything it can find. So assume that everything you type on a computer is being read. That's the safest way to go about things.

its a lot worse than that unfortunately. the government could actually be searching your computer right now without the propper firewall set up. there is a program you can use though, eveloped mainly to avoid detection for using p2p like kazaa or limewire but now updated to protect against government agencies and spyware, adware etc. pretty good piece of work actually http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ i'd recomend trying it out, its free. when installing be sure to check the government tab
