Despite Mr Bush’s attempts to subdue the rising tide of Anxiety vis-a-vis Iran’s nuclear ambitions, reports continue to appear in the news which suggest plans are already in place(maybe action) to eliminate suspected Iranian nuclear Enrichment facilities. Officially the US is waiting for the IAEA to report back to the UN security council on Iran’s compliance with the recent UN(United Nations) demand that ‘all nuclear enrichment activities be halted’, but unofficially we can assume the US government have a few tricks up their sleeves. tricks which won’t rely upon any unobtainable but legally required UN security agreement because Bush, Rumsfield and Condi Rice all know that China and Russia(two permanent members of the security council with veto powers )will not accept any form of military sanctions as an answer to the current dilemma. And an interesting dilemma it has been and will be for some time I would guess due to the very sensitive nature of any dispute which involves regular use of the word nuclear.
There is a serious chance that President Bush has been told by his God, whichever devil/demon that may be, that it is his (George’s) mission to invade Iran or to ‘save the world from the tyrannous Ahmadinejad’..There is that possibility. To the dismay of many of the families of Slobodan Milosevic’s victims, the Dutch Investigation team charged with uncovering any suspicious elements of the former dictator’s recent death(in The Hague dungeon)have found that “he was not murdered” but in fact died of the widely publicized heart problems. Though the Serbian authority’s newfound zeal for ‘justice’ is admirable it must be noted that their change of heart is due more to their desire to join the EU than a step towards accepting humans as one species afforded the same rights and respect. Which would be nicer. Either way it will be a definite advantage to humanity, specifically non-Serbian people, if Mladic is captured and imprisoned in The Hague’s dungeons of Dutch Deviance. Right where that fucker belongs.

The plans of the new Israeli government which is slowly forming in Tel Aviv have been greeted with much optimism and respect by political and non-political observers the world over, I mean specifically the plans to sort out the Palestinian Issue by imposing ‘a unilateral solution’ which would admittedly give some land back to the heavily oppressed Palestinians but at the cost of cementing the position of many Jewish settlements and the creation of a Palestinian state totally surrounded by Israel- which sounds good for the Israeli army but very bad for the Palestinians. It must be hard enough living side by side your most despised enemies let alone sourrounded.

The PA leader is optimistic about Hamas softening their ‘destruction of the Jewish state’ doctrine in exchange for negotiations which would lead to peace for all parties concerned, though at this point in time the newly created Palestinian government are still considered terrorists by the Israeli Elite..

Highlight of the week: Southend 0 Gillingham 1
After occupying the treacherous first relegation spot in the English league one table for most of 2006, my beloved Gillingham have turned the corner. I think it was the 6-0 drubbing at Bristol City that re-energized the players or perhaps it was simply drugs. Who knows and who cares right now because the often controversial and physically intimidating Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson recorded his 5th win in a row on Good Friday by beating runaway league one leaders Southend 0-1 away. I honestly can’t recall the last time that Gillingham won 3 games in a row let alone 5 so I must take my hat off to Mr Jepson and the Gills boys.....If we can maintain this kind of form maybe we can make a late bullish charge for the play-offs?? The problem is that we will play some shit teams soon, starting Monday actually, when the despised bantams come down from Bradford to play at Priestfield (gill’s home ground), and when we play shit teams invariably we lose..Totally illogical unless we assume that the Gills players refuse to play decent football unless the opposition is of a certain standard but even that doesn’t make much sense that is to anybody who has never been to Gillingham, breathed the air , exchanged a few words of wisdom with the natives.. I only visit the scum-ridden town with a Gills shirt on my back. And front. Must be protected from all angles in many of these rough as guts Kentish towns...
