haha a couple of nights ago i went outside with my sister and smoked like 3-4 bowls and then came back into the house with both my parents home (not a good idea). and before i even had a chance to put in visyne my mom called me in to talk to her. so i tell her i have to piss and go put in some eyedrops...apparently they didnt work quick enough and my mom not only asked me to fix the tv, but to EXPLAIN how to use the complicated satelitle remote..she knew i was high..i got a lecture..it sucked and i was scared like no 1 knows...that was awfull...so ....dont do it youll sound like an ass

i no what you mean. i've been in the same position a couple of times, but last week i decided to start growing, and my parents found out about it and that i'd done some weed before and it turns out they're completely cool about it, especially my dad, which is really weird. the funniest part is that it turns out my dad's friends in denmark grow it. since they found out it's been so much easier. it's not as if they're hippies either, they're quite old (i'm 18 ).

i think that the environment in which you smoke has a large effect on your high. in other words, if you're getting high in a place where you're worried that your parents might find out, i makes you stressed and ultimately affects your high.

if you think there's a chance your parents might be cool about it, try explaining why you do it and try to make them understand, without being aggressive about it, cuz it'll take such a weight off the whole situation.

yeh lately i have been incredibly tempted to explain to them why i smoke even though they dont know yet....im a really good debater and quite a smart person and i have all a's and b's in school and im sure the reasons i have for smoking and the facts that go along with marijuana that i know would win them over but its a step im not willing to take yet...maybe in a few months

if your parents are 100% cool with you smoking..which is hard to believe any Good parents are cool about it... there isn't too much of a point to explain why you do it unless they ask... unless you live in amsterdam and it isn't look down apon on

it's a drug and to them its the worse thing that could happen to you

no offence mate but i don't think you know either of our parents well enough to make that judgement.

which is hard to believe any Good parents are cool about it

what's that about? so if a parent is ok with there kids smoking a bit of weed now and then, just as they would drink alcohol, they're bad parents?

yea bro imma have to agree with liester cuz my mom drinks every night and she knows it my dad knows it and my sister all know that its somewhat of a problem, and my sister smokes ciggarettes, both my parents know and really dont do anything bout it....she smokes right on the patio outside they dont really care, but they really respect me and have a lot of trust in me so i think i could explain to them the negative light that the media put weed in and show em that its really not a big deal....ive done a lot of research on our great friend mary jane and i could show my parents the good in her

that how i see it around here... none of my friends parents are 100% cool with them doing drugs.. why do yours think its cool to smoke weed?

my parents don't think it's cool, they are cool about it, i.e they don't mind that much. they probably would prefer if i didn't but i guess they respect me enough to know i can make my own decisions and that its all part of learning.

so i guess they're not 100% cool with me doing/groing weed but it's enough for me to not have this constant weight on me about whether they're gonna find out.

My parents dont like it but are pretty relaxed about it, but i think they only care because im still a teenager and they dont want it affecting me in my future life

I recently told my mom I toke and my step dad (not that I care if he knows anyways) knows, he saw my bong sitting on my dresser with a packed bowl.

My mom doesn't care but I don't want ther to see me actually smoking so I only smoke when I know i get a little bit of time to myself.

Its nice to not feel so paranoid though.

yea, having your parents know is a lot easier on you. i respect my parents enough to not smoke in front of them, but they know i do and they know that they can't stop me.
like they used to ground me and stuff when they caught me, but now they've realized that they can't really change it and they stopped grounding me. i still wouldnt toke up right in front of them cause that wouldnt be cool.
and i also dont leave like ounces lying around the house cause if the 5-0 happens to catch me, i dont want them getting in trouble either.

all in all, the government sees it as a drug, and our parents are trying to protect us from the consequences the gov't lays down. if it was legal, they wouldnt care at all. theyre just lookin out for us.

My mom is kool with it and everything, but my dad gets mad over the whole ordeal, but i have alot of stuff i got to go thru and mom understands it and she knows i'm not going to ruin my life with and stuff.
