Mr. Mladic has been wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for ten years (The ICC is the first permanent international judicial body capable of trying individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes when national courts are unable or unwilling to do so.). Up until 2002, he was living in relative comfort amongst his countrymen. In short, the Serbian government didn’t care about all the carnage he had caused, or rather they did, but not in a way you would expect GOOD people to care...Mladic was respected and revered for his carniverous spirit and probably still is by many Serbians. I have to ask myself what kind of country would allow a man like Mladic to move around freely and defy international justice...20,000 dead and that made him a hero?? One of his buddies General Karadzic, a similarly evil swine, is afforded protection (from prosecution-he is also wanted for war crimes by the ICC) by certain charitable elements of the Serbian Army. So the Serbian government's co-operation with the ICC in the past has been to say the least- pathetic..or to say the most- a fucking disgrace.
If Serbia wish to continue their journey towards EU membership, they MUST hand over Mladic to the International Criminal Tribunal. If they don’t, their membership effort will still continue, but its pace will slow to that of a heavily fatigued snail…
To my eagle eyes the situation seems to be more a chance for Serbia to show they know the difference between GOOD and EVIL, than a opportunity to further their European Ambitions. I haven’t been to Serbia and it may well home some absolutely amazing people and I’m sure that it does, but they just don’t seem to have a very strong social voice or function. Let us hope that the relevant Serbian officials can do the Right thing, which to any neutral observer means handing over these genocidal maniacs to the nearest court we have to the ‘Good Guys’ outfit I hope will one day exist..
(the ‘good guys’ would be a team of people, not specifically law orientated professionals, taken from all over the planet to form a judicial process and team which keeps an eye on the whole world, not just the rich countries and the countries which have attractive natural resources which can be raped and pillaged for huge profits before leaving the same countries poor and at war with themselves as the oil wells run dry, but ALL countries..)
Lets leave Yugoslavia and jump over to China, or maybe just as far as Tibet in order to view China from a safe distance, if there is such a thing as ‘a safe distance from China’. That is a question which has worried me for many years...

While Chinese investment extends further and with ethic less exponential intensity across the globe, the homeland is horror show where Human Rights protestors (plying their trade in China)are being singled out and somehow made to ‘disappear’…If there is one positive comment I can find about the Chinese government right now, it could only be that they are Tidy. There is an obvious ‘NO MESS’ strategy which frankly scares me enough to swear right Now that I will never visit China, not even if someone offered me the chance to race around the country on a nitrous enhanced Suzuki gsxr750 with valentino Rossi as a riding partner on his Yamaha….With the current government: no way……….

New Jamaican Prime Minister, Ms Porta Simpson-Miller
Ms Porta Simpson-Miller is to be crowned the first Female prime minister of Jamaica’s history, when current PM, P J Patterson retires later this month. She will effectively ‘take over’ from Patterson by beginning her new role midway through a 5 year term of office for the ruling PN party (People’s National).
Liberia, Chile and now Jamaica, have all recently elected the first female rulers in their respective histories…....This morning, on the long tram journey into the heart of the city of Melbourne to my skyscraper of work, I was reading the introduction to Joseph Conrad’s heart of darkness. The phrase ‘man/women …culture/nature’ springs to my mind as I connect these feminine dots on the world map…And if the ruling Men are generally lacking decency then it can be no surprise that the culture too is lacking decency SO lets get back to nature and get more good women in power…..We cant ever forget that the Earth is a mother (a female) that gave the world Life…..
Over 1300 natives died last week in Iraq during a 72 hour killing blitz, which was delivered by various ethnic/religious/tribal groups. The Coalition troops could do nothing more than help out in the morgues and if I am going to be necessarily honest then I must say that ‘Coalition control in Iraq’ is an illusion, nothing more nothing less... Anyone who thinks otherwise is a brain-dead optimist. The descent into civil war is almost complete. our troops are standing around still getting wasted, and for what reason? I Mean why the fuck are they there??? The invasion of Iraq was worse than ill-advised it was evil-advised because the net result of President Bush and Tony Blair’s removal of Saddam Hussein, is a definite worsening in standard of life for the Iraqi people themselves, who now live their lives amid more terror than before the English/American/Australian troops came piling in with their big guns and political ideas for peace and reconstruction….yeh, so much for those well laid plans eh??
For sure some people may be better off, namely anyone who opposed Saddam Hussein, but Iraq is fast becoming an international death field where the great Powers of the West have many troops stationed with no real idea of how to fix any of the many escalating problems…They shouldn’t have been there in the first place. The reason or justification for going to war with Iraq was bullshit; blatant lies to the people of the US and the Uk and the world in general really.

The European Union has offered $140m to the Palestinian Authority to plug the gap left by Israel’s decision to withhold the previously monthly tax payments (YES MONEY ISRAEL OWES TO PALESTINE). Not all of that figure will go directly to the PA until Hamas (the newly crowned ruling party) acknowledges Israel’s presence and makes a definite step towards PEACE and DIPLOMACY, which they wont do until Israel withdraws it’s military forces from occupied territories. For now, a small but essential portion of the 140m will go to the PA for covering wages which haven’t been paid, and to generally keep the country afloat. As I have said before, a sinking Palestine is in NOBODYS best interests, which makes it even more illogical for Israel to withhold the payments. Still…If Hamas refuses the EU offer I’m sure they can give Tehran a call for a few $$$$$ to keep them going till next month…The rest of the 140m, not given directly to the PA, will be shared between humanitarian groups and other NGO’s who are deemed to be helping the Palestinian state move in the right direction..
The gentle plant eating giant----argentinasaurus
A recent spinosaurus discovery has displaced the giganotosaurus as the largest carnivorous creature ever to walk the earth. Back in the good old days it was the T-rex which instilled fear into the hearts of movie-goers and palaeontologists alike the world over,, (of course only those palaeontologists who used recreational/pharmaceutical strength drugs would be scared as the chances of meeting a t-rex have always been slim for humanity, unless that madman David Attenborough gets his wicked way) but then came the findings of a mammoth sized giganotosaurus back in 1995, which instantly snatched the much sought after crown. But alas, the glory of Gigi (as the beast is affectionately nicknamed) wasn’t to last long as the discovery of a previously unimaginably big spinosaurus skull was made in Mexico last month…..I should add a bit of ying to this bloodthirsty yang by stating :>> the largest creature to walk the earth (so far) has been the weirdly named herbivore:>argentinasaurus..i guess that one was dug up in Argentina??????I will have to find out…so watch this space...

There has been far more slaughter and needless carnage the world over this last week--- than explained in my report but I just couldn’t bring myself to write 1500 words solely about DEATH and the horrific battles that are raging in Nigeria and Somalia, the sadistic mafia-esque Kazakhstani Government and distressingly revised global warming predictions..which really could mean the end for us all a lot sooner than any of us would like to consider for more than a passing moment in time....I've ‘omitted’ all THAT from my report, though 'ignored' would be preferable because my new found dedication to keeping abreast of world affairs is creating a seriously cynical lens which is affecting my soul's focus on Life....
