i wouldn't know, acctually i hear a bit about him, but who is he? (remember i am australian, so its either that im too think or we are a few years behind, even with celebrities)

Howard Marks was basically a massive importer of weed, his whole importation grew from him smoking weed at uni (oxford) building up contacts and sorting ppl out until he was importing it to the UK and US from pakistan, thailand and various other places.

He eventually got busted and spent quite some time in jail first in spain then in the UK.

He is the greatest cainer of all time and you can read more about him in his book "Mr Nice"

He used to smuggle dope in Speakers which his band used to use when playing gig's abroad. This man is a legend in my eye's but is he a legend in your eyes?????

The true liberator of smuggling even hollowed out a ford capri to smuggle in weed. And their is a film being currently made about the life he had based on the book "Mr Nice" Film expected to be out around 2004/5

I have told this story on here before but i have actully had a smoke with the great Howard marks.

he was staying at the hotel where i was working verry famous posh one and i sorted him out the hi fi from the presidental suite just aslong as i could have it back the next morning i told him that i had his book nad thought he was pretty cool so i chilled in his room for a bit with his mates told him i do a bit of dealing and that and i made a spliff for him and he made one for me..

since you back i though i would bump this thread and ask if the movie was ever made? we have a review about his book and although i havent read it yet its on my list.
