phillipines:mudslide kills 1800

A whole Phillipino village has been obliterated by a mud slide caused by excessive rain(or maybe an earhtquakes-- intial reports from eye wtinesses suggest possibility of mini earthquake). 59 survivors have been accounted for, but sadly 1800 are feared dead. Every building in the path of the huge fast moving mud-mass was merciliessy crushed, including a school filled with kids which was left buried under 10 metres of earth...

"So many died," said a resident, Eugene Pilo, on local television. "Our village is gone, everything was buried in mud. All the people are gone."

These kind of disasters are not rare in this area,Leyte island(Phillipines), where back in 1991 up to 5000 people were killed by floods and mudslides that were triggered by a typhoon.

At least once a week I here about a natural disaster wiping out large amounts of people. Wether it be mudslide, flood, or earthquake theres always some major thing wiping out people. If you keep tabs on the news theres no way you can miss it. I'm starting to think that this is natures way of fighting back against all the shit that mankind is doing to them.

To bad it can't be more precise and start taking down some big corporations.

i came to the same conclusion myself, sometime last year Doc, I think I wrote a rhyme about it or two......nature has a soul, like we do as individuals..it seems more ridiculous to assume that Nature will just sit back and die off as we , humanity, kill it more and more of its lifeforce for our own selfish gains...So yeh I do think there are natural defences at work and I agree it is a shame that this natural defensive mechansim doesnt appear to be controllable and imprtantly aimable at the targets of our anger and the causes of the most damage to the planet..random,, or maybe not...
