Some races developed differently from others.Ziggy wrote:Ye but Ryoshun, those arent really racial difference, those are just evolution at work, a black guy wasnt born wit big lips, or a chinese guy wasnt born with small eyes, its evolution and survival of the strongest

race - group of people of common ancestory with distinguishing physical features.
race is a word primarily used to define people groups only. ut wouldnt be proper english to say an alsation was of a different race to a golden retriever, even though it seems valid given the general usage of the word.
thats probably got more to do with the people who wrote the dictionary i use(collins) than the fact that the word ,race, can be directed towards species who are very cimilar but differe in some characteristics, i would assume physical charcteristics. so as it may not be proper english to distinguish a golden retriever and a alsation as different races of the same species, it does make sense.
either way ryoshun is right. in the human species there are different races.
as for the biblical explanation of creation, i dont belive it for a second, tho i do have some belief in some of the ideas(or maybe just the ideals like 10 commandments) from the bible. It is ludicrous to assume that all human began with adam and eve.
and also as for the comment that australians been derived from the prison systems of england, tho opartly true it is just as much dumb and showing lack of knowledge. the aborginals are not only black, but baltantly diferetn in their physical make up to europeans and also blakc africans. also this country had a huge amount of european settlers who CHOSE to come here. melbourne for example, i think is the 2nd largest city here, and was created by settlers who came herer by choice, not though the savage old english penal system. many settlers have followed over the years.
if we were to line up a chinaman, a anglo saxon, a abroginal, a native indian of america(if thee are ne left), and say an inuit, side by side, then we would see that these races havent eveolved from the same orignal people. why are eskimos borwn skinned for example???why do chinese people have differetn shaped eyes????why do aborignals look different to fijians and where the hell did the maoris come from?????
also we must remember the bible came through many centuries, some times when the christians WERE DEFINATELY NOT IN POWER. so how can we possibly see it as an accurate document to base ideas of creation upon. we cant. it was written by men, and chanegd by men.
i dont beleive in the adam and eve story, but yes i like some of the ideals and living guides, that are presented through made up stories in the bible, though i wouldnt say it was all made up. i dont know, i didnt write it and the times when the events occured were many man yyears ago....
if people can take some good stuff from it then great, if not then its no worry. there are thousands of 'holy texts', not all of which were subjected to roman rule......
