help with installing new phpbb version

if asmodeus doesnt find the time over the next few days, maybe someone would be able to kinda guide me through the process??(upgrade to latest phpbb version)
i had alook at a few guides at it doesnt seem beyond me, but i'd need someone trusyworthy and knowledgable to guide me....

any offers appreciated, and who knows maybe asmo will come up trumps before we go for this route..

I know how to but what would be the need? Is there any significant improvements to the update from this version? Cause unless its gonna make a huge change, I cant see the point in wasting time and effort on it.
