I remember stuff from high school. You don't get an opportunity like school again. I wasted loads of time at school, wish I hadn't.

I liked high school. I didn't really need much money, I didn't give a fuck about anything.

i was always a lazy slacker (or at least i thought) and never gave a fuck about anything especially school related. i guess in a way im still similar although rather than seeing school as the main part of my life (and very shitty part) i now look at it as a chance to do something that i would want to get into if i wanted to live a regular life in this world. i think this human world relies on money a lot and so in order to live a regular life, the best chance at that life would be to go to school and go into a program for something you would be happy enough with. i dont think people who did shitty in high school or any school should be looked at as "bad" or a "dumbass" because i think if everyone thought the same way as someone who tries hard in school and gets decent to good grades, they would also pass and go on to college and eventually pursue a career earlier than they might if they had dropped out or failed. some quotes on another thread in this section pointed out that if people are mislabled and, in a way, lied to, then they might not realize their true potential while growing up and whether that leaves them over or under confident, in this case it might motivate them to do what they think theyre capable of and try hard to pass and do good in school, while others just say fuck it i dont even need to try its no use. if they actually did try hard to get good grades or to improve themselves but still couldnt, then maybe the system that the school or teacher uses isnt proper for them and thats just unfortunate.

in my experience with some of my friends as well as myself, i see people growing up, seeing school as the main part of life at that stage and eventually having it turn into a career. the rest is a side bonus to get away from the main part. if thats the case, i dont think thats a good way of looking at things but at that point in life, people may not have had enough time to think about things and so they dont realize as much as they would later in their life. so with some of the people who do good in high school and go on to pursue careers right away, they may not be heading towards something that would keep them as happy as they could be, while "bad" people or "dumbasses" end up with a chance for more time to think before they end up following a major career path.

i see people calling others dumbasses or laughing about how some people are doing, whether its during highschool or some years after, but i dont think people should judge others on how they do or did in school.

as for the drugs changing your late friend, if it gets to that point where people are taking substances and letting it change their mind set in ways where they arent looking realistically at their future and just falling into the stereotypes of saying "fuck all that 'important' stuff, im just going to have fun" well then thats definately not the way to go if you want a regular life in this world or even just want to keep living. after seeing my friends and their friends smoking weed and drinking or moving onto other drugs and the way they act, it seems to me that some people, especially when theyre not yet so experienced with the substance, just do it for an image or cuz they think its cool, like buying "cool" clothes and whatnot. although after smoking weed for a longer time and becoming more experienced with it, i think the majority of them get away from that stereotype and do it because of the way it makes them feel. perhaps that feel still has to do with image in a way. for me, i do it because when im stoned i seem to really appreciate everything a lot more, increasing my amusement in things i do. and another thing is that i think, although i feel ive always been a thinker, its really helped me mature my mind and made me realize a lot more, making me think on what i believe to be a better track compared to where i was before. ive heard from a couple others that believe its done the same for them, making them "smarter" and recently another friend of mine said he saw on the news that they had a story on weed possibly making people smarter. i dont know how many times a news station on tv has reported news about that, but perhaps that could be a sign of things to come and mainstream society will shed its current view on recreational marijuana use and see it as something with possible positive effects.

School education is something that we are forced to accept as a proper education. These people don't realise that we would like to learn about things that we are interested in. Like in Religious Studies.... why couldn't i learn about mysticism, and in P.E... why wasn't i allowed to skateboard? Because the governors create a curriculum that suits the needs of the MAJORITY, and this is something we need to fight against.

Of course the curriculum is based around the majority. You cannot possibly cater for EVERYONE with the resources they have, they just set something they think will be useful for most people, and the others will either have to put up or shut up. That's why you can't have everything you want at school, how the fuck are they going to afford skateboarding staff, and there simply aren't enough mysticism ethusiasts out there to get one to every school. It's not a great system, but it's the best they can do really, unless you fancy a massive tax hike. You up for that? Course not.

And I didn't really mind RS. I found it was almost enjoyable to try and make the teachers doubt their whole belief system. Mine would never leave my stupid questions unanswered and admit to a class full of people they've got all the answers, but none of the facts. I'd sit there for hours being an arguementitive cunt, which is one of my favourite pass times. The class were entertained, i had a few laughs and i got a B on my exam by going in stoned and writing stupid but totally justifiable answers. One of my less hated subjects.

School is a load of fucking shit. "If you don't want to do the work it doesn't get you anywhere in life". That was one thing me and the teachers could agree on. But you dont have the choice to stop :? All my teachers would winge all the time, "your attendance is appaling", "you havent done 4 weeks of french" homework" bllah blaah blah, the same fucking bullshit. I'm sure it must've become obvious that i wasn't gonna do the work, but still they wasted my time, their time and taxpayers money on keeping me there.
Now i've left school i've realised that the g.c.s.e's i could have got wouldn't have helped me one bit.
