I did poorly at school, Not proud of it
I was part of (in the USA, in the state of Iowa in the early 80's and late 70's in "grammer school - ie. years 6 to 11 or so, grades 1 to 6th) part of this "gifted and talented" fast track program in the public schools. Basically I passed these general tests so well they tested my IQ and then I was rewarded with *more* work, extra classes and extended hours at school. This was okay, as I was young and didnt know anything else about how educational institutions program their fodder (the students). All A+ - in other systems it would be basically whatever they call excellent.
Then moved to "junior high" - ages like 12 to 14 - grades 7, 8 and 9. Did excellent work until my dad killed himself. I was moved against my will and with great protest on my part to California, and the school there was grade 9 to 12 - so I went from being the oldest class to the youngest in a school that didnt give any attention or care to actual education.
I came in to this "public high school" with an education more advanced than most of the students in the highest class before university, so I stopped studying started smoking pot and taking LSD during class. My grades went from A+ to D in 1 year - I was kicked out of that school for being drunk, being stoned, class cutting, etc. I was again moved against my will to my grandmother and her second husband's home further into shitkicker California. I kept doing drugs and graduated with a GPA of roughly 2.0 or maybe 1.7 or so - about as low as possible while still making the cut to actually graduate.
I went to what is called "community college" a sort of "pre-university" for students who want a college education but have not demonstrated the ability or qualities (not an amazing athlete, etc) needed for actual University. I got straight A perfect grades, and got into University. Graduated with honors, but still had odd grades - like an A, an A, an A and a D- the D- (failure basically) would be in statistics or something I had to take but had no interest in.
So I scraped by but Im not proud of my record. Advise - take that shit seriously, if drugs are fucking up your Christmas, stop taking them.

Thats too bad man. I was always a good kid until the whole school thing just became too much. Got 5 A*s and 4 A's for gcses, and was doing maths, further maths, history and physics for my a-levels but they kicked me out for not going too enough lessons.
Man it was stupid i didnt even need to go on that longer, now I dont know what im going to do, but ill probably end up redoing A-levels at some point...

in my sophmore year... not doing to bad I make what our school calls "gold eagle" which is a 92% or higher average. right now I think i have like a 90 in english, 93 in math, over a 100 in both french and latin (but that's just because those are easy classes) overall not too shabby, could do better if I wanted, but I just don't want to ever actually try hard on something, that's no fun.

In grade 7 and 8 I had an overall average of 82% and 83% respectively.
In grade 9 I began having major family problems and I droppped down to failing grades simply because I harldy ever attended class!! With the threat of failing that year, I smartened up and finished off with a 78% overall average. Grade 10 started off normally..mid 80's without studying much. But then family problems, and I wound up skipping my mid term exams. After that got sent to another school, did well there but got sent back home three months later. Never went back to school after that.
I never intended to quit but damn social services with their yo-yoing drove me too it. I blame them for that. I woulda become somebody damn it. I had plans..
