Good line.
To be fair what really good US guys are there that everyone knows? Its the same shit that everyone has heard of where ever you go, you always have to look for the good stuff. If you look below the surface you'll find Roots Manuva has done hundreds of colaborations (sp!?) and pops up all over the place.

He's a big twat in hip hop, even Immortal Technique dissed him and the freestyle was played on radio 1

Jehst is without doubt the worst live emcee i have witnessed. admitedly i have only seen him live once, but once was enough. he was on before slug, in brighton, back in 2003, in that wonderful summr of love.
anyway his lyrics were dumb, his delivery was like a townie on speed, and he did nothing to endear english hiphop to me at all.
i have given a chance to every bit of english hiphop i have been pointed to, and mustsay that the US artists are far more talenteed, as are the canadians.
rodney smith is wicked, but he is hardly 'pimp your ride' material. are the nextmen english, i thought so, i used to like those guys.
dizee rascal is another one who caused my ears much pain and increased my resentment towards homegrown hiphop.
the best hiphop i have heard in the UK, was when i was in Dublin, with my lady, and we were walking near thr river when i heard some beats. we followed my ears and found a group of emcees in front of some big buidling. they had a mike, a amp and speakers. they were outstanding, so young, some like 13 or 14 years old.
their lyrics had meaning andtheir rhyming delivery was awesom.
so raw, yet so real. they didnt have muchof a crowd, but we stayed a while to enjoy their tunes.
also a mate fo mine was emceeing in brighton, some of his stuff was wicked, more task force kinda gritty style, which i can relate to, having lived in the uk most my life, though i prefer US + canaidan artists.
it depends on your ears and your mind i guess. i dfinately more british than american minded, if it came down to that, but i found my favourite musicians in the US.i think this more to do with more people bene there, so more people producing. i just feel very lucky that i ave had people steer me in te right direction to find the music collection that i have, which is made up of what i consider to be the best hiphop in the world.

Kaleef's Golden Brown is still the undisputed best hiphop track from the UK in like, FOREVER.
And I don't believe you would call Dizzee a rambler with poor lyrics, obviously you folks never heard Jezebel or Cut Em Off. Shit, Boy In Da Corner is one of the best albums I have to date, and I have quite a few albums.

When you compare him to other Uk artists, hes the Chingy of the Uk. Dizzee isnt even hip hop, hes a grime artist.Funk Doctor wrote:Kaleef's Golden Brown is still the undisputed best hiphop track from the UK in like, FOREVER.
