Lazy growing

Post by Funk Doctor »

Suppose I get a pot, some soil and fertilizer and a seed, would I be able to grow a decent plant by just leaving it on my terrace and let nature take it's way?

Alright.

Yeah, you gotta wait until spring, one because it's to cold and 2 because the light cycles in fall are wrong fro weed growing!

Plant it in the spring as soon as it stops freezing at night. Here that is late Mayish. Then let it grow all summer up until fall!!

Get good soil for it, something that has perlite in it if you can. PLant in no less than a 5 gallon pot.

Giving it nuts would help it along really nicely.

I cant imagine getting as good buds as im used to from just leaving a plant outside anywhere in the world. Seems to me indoors you have a lot more control which means nicer skunk :?

Good question.

As Cusmar said, indoor growing is easier because you can totally control the environnement

Outdoors you have many, many factors that will affect the outcome of your harvest. You have to battle with poor soil quality, animals, insects, dry spells, severe rain, cold, heat, you may have problems accesing the grow area to give it the proper nutes, therefore it will suffer. Often it is hard to bring the plant to full term becuase of frost, risk of theft, mold problems etc. Also not all strains can be grow in any climate, so they end up not yielding very high. The list is endless. In northern climates you are pretty much restricted to growing early flowering strains, and those strains tend to be less potent than others. A strain from Jamaica or Afghanistan will not fair well in Canada.

Inside, you can grow any strain you want because you have the ability to control the climate and duration of the grow. You buy sterile good quality soil, you check ph regularily and adjust it, you water it properly, you deal with bug infestations immediately, you control temperature, wind, airflow, CO2. You give it proper nutes, you care for it by picking off dead leaves, toppping it, you have no risk of frost or theft (unless everyone knows about your indoor grow), you have no week long rainstorms. Again this this is endless!

But then again indoors involves alot of other shit..I didn't say it was easier. It depends on your situation and how much the stealth factor plays in

One of my mates says crushed coconut shells are good for a plant, is that true?

Yup you are correct. I've never used it, but one of my friend's told me about it..he used it, supposed to be pretty good. I was thinking about maybe trying it this year, as carting soil in will not be an option this year.DEpends on the price though, haven't really looked into it much.

How does crushed coconut shells help it? Does the soil extract nutrients or something from it and give it to the plant?
