Worthwhile?

Post by monroepq »

So I've been smoking everyday for about a month now, noticing that it's really starting to eat up my paycheck and I'm sort of supposed to be saving my money for college life.. so I've been thinking about growing my own plants just in my closet. But I'm wondering.. is it really worth growing your own pot? First how much do you typically spend on all the materials -seeds, lighting, fertilizer, anything else? And how much should I expect to grow exactly? I just want to make sure that I'd be saving money if I really did decide to grow.

And where does everyone in the US get their seeds? I've found a lot of sites online, but I'm not sure if they ship here.

It saves you SOOOOOOOO much money if you grow it yourself. Astramasta (i think) has grown 4 females for under £50. All be it they wont be the best weed but they'll be smokable. Your biggest investment is going to be a light. I think a 400W light would do 2 plants, maybe more, not too sure how many but someone on here will be able to tell you. The first grow will be the most expensive because thats when you have to buy light, fan etc..... First grow might cost around £200 (not sure bout dollars). But then each grow after that shouldnt cost a fraction of that, just soil and seeds after that really. If you look on some of the major seed sites like http://www.sensiseeds.com it should tell you the expected yield per plant or per square meter.

plus, you only have to buy the lighting and stuff once, so if you do repeated grows, your savings grow too.
