Being sick really sucks
I woke up last Thursday with a scratchy, sore throat. I didn't think anything of it at first because I've got out of bed with a sore throat a few times and it usually goes away.
That day however, my throat got increasingly sore. Friday, I had a wicked runny nose, sore throat, and a wicked cough.
Today (monday) my throat is still a little nasty feeling. My nose is fairly clear, and not running. But my cough...oh lord, my cough feels like I'm ripping my lung fibers out.
It's kind of scary in a way. My ex wife is an asthmatic and I remember when her chest was full, she'd be laying in bed next to me breathing and her lungs sounded like miniature demons purring and screaming in her lungs. You know when you're phlegmy and you breathe outwards really hard and your chest rattles and makes funny noises? Well, that's what my chest is doing...but only when I breathe normally.
I took the day off work today to try to feel better. It's almost 1 pm and I've only had one cigarette today...and it tasted like shit and nearly ripped my lungs apart.
Thank god I don't have any pot.

If your chest it rattly when you breathe, you need to take a cough EXPECTORANT; it will make you cough a shitload, but you will cough out that shit in your chest and help you get better faster.
Eventually, you'll feel better. Just think of it as an excuse to play on the computer, watch TV, and be lazy in general. And sleep! It will help, trust me.
I'm sorry you feel like crap. I know how you feel; I'm sick, too.

make sure you dont have Strep Throat. That sucks so bad.
Some old home remedies for a sore throat are to gargle some hot salt water, drink some honey tea and the ever popular chicken noodle soup.
Get to feeling better.
btw i told you it was to cold for a small guy like you to get in the hottub that night. maybe next time you'll listen

Gore I feel your aspiratory pain bro! Thursday night... ugh.. I had been nice and healthy all week, until came the hour... It was around 7pm and I was playing some good old World of Warcraft, when all of a sudden a drip came out of my nose. I thought it was wierd but thought nothing of it. Within the 60 minutes that ensued the Cookoo's 7 cookoos, my one runny drip turned into a snot filled version of Thailands monsoon season, and my lungs quaked from the rush of nasal birthed fluids it suffered. My eyes as well began to water and it was just like an allergic reaction, I figured I caught a nasty whiff of some dust or spores or something, so I didn't take anything for it assuming it would vacate my body as quickly as it had taken up room and board. Little did I know it was planning on staying the night. I woke up in sporadic fits suffocating on my own sinuses, and sneezing and coughing as I would fly up from my pillow. Finally, around 4am I did something about it and took a plethora of multicoloured pills to suppress the vile entity that had snuggled into my head. I was up for another half hour as I tried to calm and ease my sick frustration. I took the day off school and slept till 4pm, waking up with little remorse from my new found "friends".
Slowly it's improved, but it still lingers with me as we speak. The runnys have turned absolutely into stuffys and my throat and chest feels like a wheezy accordian. I just wish these sickly squatters would just get the hell out, I hate being sick, and I hate being sick with a cold the most.
and also...
HOLY SHIT PURPLE! That remedy sounds divine! I"m going straight to my buddy's house after school and givin it a shot hehe or a glass.
Thanks for the advice.
Peace~
p.s. Get well soon everybody.

Purple, that remedy does sound like it would work really well...too bad I have no liquor around.
You would think that toking would help unstick any phlegm wedged deep in my lungs. So far, nothings really moved from my lungs. I guess one good thing is that when I cough up anything and spit it out, it's not green or yellow...or grellow.
It's all clear...just a few protazoas of brown from my tar-lungs.

I thought I felt good enough to go to work today...guess I thought wrong. I was at work for 10 minutes and I had to bolt up from my desk to run to the loo. Not barfing, but shooting liquids out the other side.
I sat back down and proceeded to cough and hack at my desk.
"Fuck this" i muttered to myself.
I asked if I could go home sick because I wanted to go to the doctor.
I went to see the doctor and comes to find out I have bronchial pneumonia. He asked me where I worked and I said, "Call center"...immediately he wrote me a physicians note saying I had to stay home from work until Monday.
Niiiiice...
So after the doc's, I went to Wal-Mart and bought some nice new candles, some orange scented incense, and I picked up Burnout 3 Takedown for my PS2.
Plus I still have a fat sack.
Hmmm...I wonder what I'm going to be doing the rest of this week??

Hehe I've heard smoking weed isn't the best thing to do with Bronchial Pnuemonia there Gore, tends to lead to a nasty infection sometimes with lots of fun coughing up of the blood. One of my buddies had that happen to them. Maybe thinkabout gettin a vaporiser for the weekend hehe, but who am I to play doctor, if I was in your position I would do the same thing you have planned. The same thing any good hunter would do to catch and kill it's prey when it's hiding, even if it's hiding in you, and that's SMOKE IT OUT!
Enjoy your sick days Gore
