Ahh... the rise and fall of Weedguru. I never thought I'd see the day. And for some strange reason, I feel like I'm part of what triggered it, so maybe I should try and be part of the solution.

If this shit continues, this will eventually split the forums in three camps, those siding with the banned people, those siding witht he admins and the poor suckers who get caught up in the middle. Therefor I'm proposing a truce with the following conditions.

-Everyone stops bitching, right now. I don't care how unjustly you've been treated, bickering obviously doesn't help, that's been showing for the last couple of days.

-Admins and mods (not calling names) stop banning people without consent from the rest of the staff. If you have a problem with someone, bring it up in the mod forum and go from there.

-Tone down the violent and aggressive talk. I'm not really a fan of this measure, but it's obviously a very big issue for the admins, and until it's resolved, this bullshit will just go on and on.

-Unban tweedle. Banning him was the most immature and childish move I've seen in a while. I don't even want to know who banned him, just let him come back.

And that last one is by far the most important condition as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with everything said in your post. (Apart from the toning down bit, but i can live with it.)

whenver i have made an error in recent times i have held my hands up and apologized to he person in question.

i didnt ban tweedle, but i dont see any reason at all why i should just accept these comments.
i realky dont care whether people agree with his comments or not, i dont, and i find them extremely abusive considering he was working under an assumption, not a fact. even when i told the guy that i had nothing to do with it, he didnt believe me.

so yeh i agree with the other points you made, but i wont agree in any way to the last one. also as it wasnt me who banned him, and whoever did may have had good reason.

i will make no apologies for this post, and i will stick to what i have said.

but yeh given that slim chance of tweedle offering an apology, i would agree with all the points you suggested sacha.

I don't want to heat up the discussion again, but if I agree with that, that means I fold and you don't.

About tweedle: Fact is, the first stab was given by animal, not him. While I agree that after that, he reacted in an inappropriate way, I don't think tweedle should be punished that harshly. Is it not possible for him to be unbanned and behave in a normal fashion after that?

About banning: We agreed long ago that all possible bannings would be discussed until a decision was made that pleased the entire staff, except in cases in which the offense was so severe or blatant that a discussion would be a waste of time (i.e. racism, discrimination etc.). In tweedle and jus.me's cases, several mods disagreed with the bans.

read other post. he was never banned, he just doesnt seem to be able log on. maybe he is fucking his password up?
