Yup, here it is. I have many random questions that I just don't ask cuz there's no thread for it and I prefer not to make new, narrow-ranged threads.

anyways,

For fans of Queens of the Stone Age,

On the cd Songs for the Deaf, there is a track called God Is In the Radio. Play this track, and skip ahead to about 4 minutes. Turn the volume up very loud. You can hear Mark Lannegan whispering something, but it's impossible to make out what he's saying. It sounds like it's backwards.

Somebody please try this and reply to it. I've known about it for so long and it scares the shit out of me, but nobody pays attention.

Yea I heard Mark say something twice Shroot, but I'm not using my loudest speakers since they are packed. Tried a lyric search on the song?

Yes, its backwards. I can only get a little bit of it, I can't understand the begining, it sounds like he's saying 'slave' then 'If I find him watching you, look over your left shoulder at' something something 'you are inside my hands, mhhhhyyyy hhhhhaands' then a load of muttering, theres 'pushing on your eyes' or something, 'whats your god'?! a load of swearing, then 'stupid fuck' something something then the guitar swells and all I can hear is hissing. I thought the beginning might be a prayer but I can't get any hits from google on any of it.
So a pretty crappy answer really

I tried filtering it for ages but the level is just too low so its all lost in the instruments

EDIT: I'm sure its Look over your left shoulder at the pile of laundry but that doesn't really fit

burn the the track to your computer, save it in .wav format then open it in sound recorder (start>programs>accesories>entertainment>sound recorder) then go to tools and choose revers and you can play it backwards and listen to what hes saying or, it just might be on google somewhere

I did play it backwards and I tried filtering it but the level is too low. Its not on google. It is really starting to annoy me though

I've google searched it many times, but nobody seems to write anything about it. It scares the shit out of me, I can't listen to that song anymore. I'm positive that these guys are satanic and they're like putting a curse on me when I hear that song. That may sound stupid, but it still scares me.

I'm pretty sure I already posted about this before. If you crank your speakers up during the intro to "God Am" by AIC, you'll hear someone (sounds like Cantrell) hitting a bong and saying, "Sure God is all powerfull,, but does he have lips? Whoaaaaah."

That's what I got from it, after playing it backwards. More or less.

Did you know, if you take your cd rom out, make it so it plays backwards and play the Windows XP disc it plays a satanic message

If anyone has Geogaddi by Boards of Canada, try playing some of that backwards, it actually does have satanic messages in, they were just seeing what they'd get away with. Theres some stuff about a god with hooves over the top of teddy bears picnic. Never has that song sounded so creepy

Its full of stuff like that, look up boards of canada misanthropy and symbolism on google if your interested, its pretty cool stuff. Loads of things in there about the Branch Davidians but you can hear that when its going the right way too. Playing it backwards is like having a whole new record to listen to.
The cover is cool, theres a pic of satan on it if you look closely. I like the orange haze over it.
