Help - ''The Parameter is Incorrect''

Everytime i try and open some programs (sonic stage, Microsoft publisher and some others) i get an error message telling me the parameter is incorrect. What does that mean, why is it happening and how do i stop it?

I would reinstall it, and if it persists, then goto a board like http://www.ozzu.com They are good at technical OS problems. Hope it fixes, MT.

Yeah thats what i thought, but i've lost the disks for them and if you click unistall it just says ''the parameter is incorrect''

It's a pain in the arse, i cant get any new tunes on my minidic player. Does anyone know of a better program to do that with? Coz sonic stage sucked anyway.

Thats an uninstaller program, should just get rid of it ignoring all errors. Have you tried booting into safe mode, and manually deleting everything to do with sonicstage and then installing it again, if and when you do, do an update, it may have been a bug with a fix.

OK kids, i really need some help with this now. I need Powerpoint to make a presentation, but guess what, the freaking parameter is incorrect! It's weird, there doesnt seem to be any precedent for it, i cant find anything about it on Microsoft's website or anywhere else on the net.

The only thing i can think might be a factor is maybe that i've used 98% of my memory, maybe some programs need more memory to run that others? I pretty sure there's nothing else wrong with the computer, but 2% is still quite alot, your only supposed to need 200mb to keep everything running smoothly i thought?

try reinstalling windows, there is a way to do it so you can have 2 versions running, when i did it i didnt loose any files so you could try that its easy if have windows xp
