~DO YOUR PART!~

Post by Arik ^ »

HELLO FELLOW HERB SMOKING BROTHERS AND SISTERS! I have an idea that could one day change the world!

Good start? Ha

Feel powerless? Feel that you are just one person and who the hell are you to change laws or societys view on hitting that bong? Well holy fuck, join the club. There are people out there JUST LIKE YOU! I sit here and I just want to start hitting my self in the face till I see a diffrence but sadly enough I fear it wont work.

If you are anything like me, Your not about to go stand in front of a court house waving a picket sign chanting "Legalize it!" You don't have to scream it on TV or to mass amounts of people when generaly some people probably don't want to hear it. You're just a junkie trying to legalize doing drugs, a burden to society.

And truth is, there is plenty of people who fit that discription. You see before there was a huge rally of people, there was one person sitting in their room with an opinion. Then you get in that group and there is one bad apple, there is a sterotype.

What I'm getting at is maybe the best way to "do your part" is to simply relax. Be a modle, BE SOMEONE! Be someone other then a stoner, don't flaunt your drug use and yet don't hide it. Maybe when little old granny sees you as a lawyor, and finds out you smoke pot. You could change her ideas. This goes for every one.

Be resposible, and maybe as my brother gaundi would say,"Be the change you want to see" Cause personally I don't want a bunch of stoners roaming my streets doing nothing but trouble.

"I had to post this, I've felt kind of powerless today talking with my counsiler and I had to get it out."

p.s. He agrees with me.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Hahahahaha, pilgrim, classic.

I know what you mean Shrooms, we need to change the world for the better. Instead of legalising drugs for those who just sit around and smoke all day, we need the majority of cannabis users to reach their full potential, to show that we can be professional, hard-working stoners.

Very true. Many of them are good successful people. I'm sure lots of people here are in uni or college and plan on getting a good career afterwards, and they still toke. I know tons of people at uni who toke, yes I'm not suprised to see them there.

I hate people who flaunt the fact that they smoke pot because they think it makes them cool or respected. One of my classes is full of those kids, laughing at each other's stupid jokes about trees and bragging to the teacher when they get busted for smoking pot. But then it's nothing to hide either. I like the idea of that happy medium, where you can be aware of the fact that you're a this is all a lie but not want to talk shit about it just to earn respect. And I don't care if it's ever legalised or not personally, I'm fine with buying off my homeboys.

Ha, I was pretty drunk when I wrote this infact forgot about it untill just a little bit ago. You can tell I tried to keep it intresting I guess...

As for the grandma part, bad example but in a way it works. I'm just trying to say that it dose not take much to change peoples minds. You dont have to tell people about it and try to persuade someone to change their mind. But just being a good example, someone will see it and say,"wow that breaks the sterotype."

Get what I mean?

I could type for ever trying to explain my self but I wont bother, I have said enough.

My idea to get my parents to allow it is to do a lot better this year in school. Since I've started smoking pretty much this summer. (Somewhat-virgin lungs :))

Last year my marks were horrible, and I wasn't into anything. This year, if I can get great marks, and since my parents are bound to find out about my habitual reefer smoke, maybe they won't think so much of it.

Not a bad idea, if I say so myself.

Cook, Your story is a good example! A better one then my grandny example.

But unless your parents view you as rather mature, which they very well might. I think that is easier said then done. But none the less, Best of luck and if you do what you have said and your parents still arnt Ok with it. You're doing exactly of what I ask every other smoker to do, and thats something other then sitting on your arse all day, do something prductive for society.

Fuck man, when I was slingin herbs, I was mentoring too, in leadership class and was president of the video making club that pretty much my friend Harrison led. Not to mention a view other things.

As of now, I'm signed up for LBCC and going to take a bunch of criminalogy classes. Two years of cheap community college with good grades then off to law school to become a lawyor!

Wish me luck!

Oyeah, I'm also in rehab... fucking laws...
I think I'm drunk enough to drive you home now.

i think stoners are already standing up and being seen and heard (thru their work)...

almost the entire creative community in Delhi smokes pot..that includes advertising guys, newspaper, TV, magazine, artists, fashion designers, interior decorators...etc etc etc...

almost everyday the two main newspapers here run small columns on cracking down on cocaine and legalising marijuana...
its already half legal here anyway...because all the Hindu holy men (the sadhus) smoke it in the open without anyone sayng jack...

there's actually a small temple ON THE platform at New Delhi railway stattion where you can sit with the priest and smoke with him...despite the fact that even smoking a cig on our railway stations is "illegal"....

hooray for thrid world countries

PS: where you been Stu?

I did my part of being a hard working stoner last year at uni and plan on doing the same this year.

I was on Year 1 of a foundation degree, having not doing enough during a levels. Everyone knew I was a stoner, and I had a reputation as "the course stoner". I was getting stoned out of my face on any free time I had with other stoner friends I met on my course.

This summer the results came out, and I did better than the other people on my course and I qualified to transfering to a full degree which I am looking forward to joining at Year 2. My other stoner friends passed the first year also, while half the people have to resit the first year.
