My mom just brought up a really good point,
There are so many people down there just stuck in, what do ya call em, refugee camps? It's dirty, there are diseases and dead bodies. They're homeless, just sleeping where ever. Why aren't the neighboring states letting people in to their homes? Nova Scotia, a province on the eastern coast of Canada, has said that if necessary, they will accept bus loads of refugees, because there are people there willing to let them into their homes. Like what's near by there, Texas, Oklahoma, they could be accepting refugees to live with them.

Peoples, bordering states are letting thousands in. They already filled up the Astrodome in Houston, TX.
In Tennessee, the mayor has made it where anybody who is here because of the Hurricane can register their kids without the normal paperwork, colleges are letting students enroll in classes free of charge, even in the news they talk about hundreds of families actually letting families live in their house.

We've got a ton of people coming into Georgia into Atlanta and all that. The issue is that there's so many people trying to get out they can't move them fast enough.
I was talking to my father over the weekend and he said when things like that happen in other countries they usually set up tent cities outside the city. Which to me would make more sense to set up one of those as pretty much a rest stop to calm some of the chaos rather than trying to get people out on bus and plane to somewhere with food and water.
In all I still think they are doing a poor job at taking care of it and Bush is really losing popularity
